  • This section is for honest critique of the work shown here. Members are encouraged to give and accept non-confrontational constructive criticism as well as adoring praise and everything in between.
  • In order to show case everyone's work equally, please post multiple customs on the same day into a single thread. If you have a lot of pictures of your work you may have to add them to a separate post within that thread.
  • Please do not link to a sale thread or to eBay from your critique thread. This section isn't to be used to market your finished work. The Market Place section is better suited for that purpose.

Absolutely brilliant to use those lego hats!
I was looking to update my Dum Dum Dugan custom, and you've just solved the biggest question for me!

Love the new Knight Hawk head. Very nice mods to the Prof. X head.

thanks for the comments guys - I've finally finished (I think) painting the first Ajax/KH head update. The eyes were a chore, but I think I like it. Went with many layers and shades for the skin, to try to give it a real texture and depth. Also broke the pastels back out after JM reminded me about them in a thread somewhere (JM - you can still use them with mod podge btw - apply them after the mod podge, while it's still wet even...

Will get back to my normal photo set-up soon. But for WIPs, the iphone camera is so hassle free, and on the 5, has surprising resolution.

Your Bruce Wayne/Batman (unmasked), Joker and Wonder Woman figures are great, but the new Ajax/KH figure is the show stealer here, at least IMHO. Each version of your character seems to be an improvement to the last, and I always look forward to seeing what you come up with for him.

Todd - yeah, I'm not sure if the big blown up pic is a good thing or a bad thing, as it obviously shows off flaws when you zoom in that much. But I'm pretty happy with how well it holds up, under the microscope, so to speak. I think he's going to look pretty sharp when I get to my normal photo process. but thank you. I spend a disproportionate amount of time on the character(s) so I'm glad to hear you say that!

Looks great. The eyes are really well done.

I bought the lego hats thanks to seeing them here and am getting a few other projects done before starting on the real "world's greatest detective" and his trusty side kick.

I was watching some porno on MySpace and a dude looked EXACTLY like your Knighthawk... :shifty:

Really diggin the new look - where is that head from? And the little touches like the ID badge are just perfect.
