Will the vintage Oring joes fit inside that Iron Man jeep? Looks pretty cool. Also I looked again at that Bat Man gunship custom. At first look I thought it was just a repaint but it's actually a great custom. I always say the best customs don't look like customs at all. Great work all around.

not being an o-ring guy, I don't have a lot to add on the figures. But I love the backstory, and some of those vehicle conversions and paintwork is inspiring.

The Iron Man jeep vehicle is a motorized vehicle. I gutted everything I could inside and even had to do some alterations to get figures with the interior to fit. It's still a lttle tight in there, but o-ring figures fit without looking too cramped. I'm sure someone with your skills Blood Brigade, could make them fit better than I. Thanks for the compliments. I'm an admirer of your work, so coming from you that means alot.

I used the technique posted by TR1ER in the JCwiki. It does take some trial and error but after a while it gets easier. Took a couple tries to get their camo to look right.

very impressive set!

all the characters are unique and well designed!

the ironman jeep steels the show, it looks better than the factory joe offerings!

Thanks. I'll have to check that out.

After another look, I'm still impressed by these, especially the scale of the project!

Thanks for all the kind words.
I've been working on this project (and some others soon to come) for so long. I wanted to give this project the same kind of "out-of-the-gate" kind of feel the Joe's had when they first hit the pegs back in 82'.
A handfull of figures and a few vehicles. I wanted to give them a cannon similar to FLAK or HAL but couldn't find any base suitable to build from. A jet would have been good as well, but at this point I wanted the project completed or I would keep trying to add more.
Once the weather broke this spring I hammered the rest of it out getting the last of the paint jobs completed and the vehicles.
There will be more pictures of the figs and vehicles when I submit them to the gallery next weekend.

Very well put together, both figures & backstory.

Great job, Phobus.

Like many have already said the back story is brilliant. These guys definitely look like quite the force to be reckoned with. There's too many of them that I like to name them all, so by majority I like them all. It's so great seeing a large turnout of O-ring customs like this at one time...

Congrats for bringing up a nicely done and creative O-ring project.
Many cool figures and awesome vehicles.

I've been wanting to comment in this thread for a couple of weeks now, but somehow I didn't manage to actually do so. As an ARAHddict this group of customs certainly deserves another post of appreciation!

Strafe: Never thought of using Dee Jay's head for a pilot, but as we can see it does work.
Tread Head: You've managed to paint all of his parts in such a cohesive way that he really looks like a tank driver wearing an overall. Sweet!
Triton: I've seen a few diver customs using that head before and I always like them. The only thing I'd add is a rebreather mouthpiece, but maybe yours isn't just wearing all of his diving gear?
Hot Head: What a wonderful recipe! I'm surprised how well the parts "support" this custom's PMS, especially Muskrat's torso and Mirage's legs.
Hardline: The subtle camo just adds that little extra something to make this custom more interesting. Nice choice of weapon and gear, not too small or too much, but just right!
Redline: Another solid custom, no crits.
Dogface: Hmm....

I'd buy that one!
Chainsaw: I have a WIP laying around using that torso and those legs for a machine gunner too. Now I see it can turn out to a great result.
Warhead: Who would've known an unpainted Gristle head could still lead to new character that doesn't remind me of him that much.... Nice one!
Tundra: Great! The head combined with the torso just scream for an arctic custom.
Trauma: I'd like to have him for my desert ops Joes.
Blacklight: Mainly because of the colours, this custom reminds me a lot of Sci-Fi (even though his green is much brighter). Probably also since they both have a similar kind of helmet with a flat black visor that shows the bare nose and mouth. But, certainly not bad though!
Rome One: Thumbs up again.
Foul Play: A black masked head with a visor directs right to a Snake Eyes-like custom. Nice combination with that torso.
Nomad: The camo technique you've used for this project is best seen on this figure, very cool. I do have to advise Nomad to wear a helmet, because that bald head shines like a mirror in the sun! ;-)
Foxtrot One: Makes a great two-pack with Tango.
Tango One: Makes a great two-pack with Foxtrot.

Dire Wolf: Never saw that base vehicle before, I'll have to pick one up soon.
Wild Boar: Another base vehicle that I like a lot for its potential. Oh, the gun is from the '91 Battle Wagon.
War Jackal: Hehe, the front guns are cute!
Raging Bull: A fine repaint.
Kodiak: See above.
Darkhawk Gunship: Lovely little plane!
