one of my favorites from you, just a great build :) that brings out the kid in us all!!

my first thought was that it needs feet to address stability by firing, but then cobra-enginuity took over and i imagined that the four corner guns fire grappling hooks/anchors to dig in and keep it stable under recoil.

The Rolling Thunder is such an incredible vehicle and an underutilized base for customs. Nice work.

It has stabilizing feet underneath you just can't see them cause they are imaginary. Lol

Thank You. I have quite a few hours in this one. I had a few issues with filling the gaps around the side. What I did was raise side pices at the back and that gave me better angles to work with.

Thank You. I've wanted to build this for a long time. This year I've decided to just finish up some WIPS I have. I've also finished a few I've really wanted to build like my Tidal Wave for example.

This is the second one I've done. I think the reason you don't see many customs of them is because they are getting expensive.

That thing must have incredible brakes to withstand the blast force, otherwise it needs a retractable piece (spade, trail, etc) out the back to absorb the recoil.

If it were real the recoil would probably rip it in half.

Unless it was a rail gun. Magnetic propulsion has no kickback, and the shell itself could be self guided. To be effective at range, a rail gun throwing shells that large a reasonable distance would have to be huge, and would require a huge amount of power. Which makes sense as to why the vehicle itself has to be that big.

It's another great effort. Looks retail in every detail.

That's interesting information thanks for posting that. The feet issue is officially solved now. The Thunder Clap toy does have feet on the bottom of the cannon part but I guess that just what it sits on when it's being pulled around.

The most impressive part of this custom to me is what you did to the cab section. The modding to the windows makes it look like a completely different vehicle than a Rolling Thunder. Bravo!

I agree, they weren't too hard to build but it totally changes the look like you said.
