If that Ant-Man helmet is custom made, you win a cookie...

The figure is a 25A comic pack CG Fred head, MU Scarlet Spider body, arms, & legs, MU Dr Strange waist & hips/upper thighs, MU Winter Soldier hands, MU Havok feet, and the Minimates Ant-Man helmet.
I was going to use the Matt Trakker head, but it was a bit too snug in the helmet. I had to heat up the helmet every time I wanted to put it on that head.

Gaigaan-Dnok, stumbled over this page on a Google magic carpet ride and had to register to praise your MU customs.

Haven't explored beyond this thread yet, so maybe it's par for the course with customizers here, but I appreciate the insight you give on how you came up with each custom.

I'm no customizer sadly, but it's just nice to know how the magic happened. That said, with a bunch of Figure Factory sets kicking around (I buy them as bases for displaying my MUs), I maytake a stab at seeing if I can rig those Mr. Fantastic arms up. Kudos on your whole F4 team!

A request...could you post a picture of your Sandman custom with some other figures. Would love to see him with his fellow Spidey villains.

:-D

you made a Minimates accessory work on a Hasbro figure?

that is astoundingly resourceful

Wow! Ant-Man turned out well. And even better that you went with a slightly different design than the one I've been working on (so I won't feel too embarrassed to post it later).

Great work on all the stuff in this thread. It's delightful to drop back in from time to time and see the updates.

Keep 'em coming.

First let me say welcome to Joe Customs!
Thanks for the feedback on my MU customs.
I HIGHLY recommend checking out the rest of the site. Truly one of the best places on the net. Friendly, helpful, talented people on here. Even if you aren't in to Joes, there is always plenty of Marvel talk and other stuff to keep a person entertained. You may not consider yourself a customizer right now, but you never know. Sometime you may see something and think, "hey that looks pretty simple, I could try that", and that's how it starts. :-)

I honestly have never heard of a Google Magic Carpet Ride, but glad it brought you to us.

I will try to get some more pictures of Sandman tonight with some other baddies around him.

Thanks again, everyone, and welcome jabalong!

Also, if you haven't tried it yet, the teleporting effect from the Figure Factory Nightcrawler goes GREAT with the variant Nightcrawler from the X-Men Giant Size multi-pack. The translucient purples match near perfectly.

Thanks for the welcome! Image

And thanks for the Sandman picture, he looks great with other villains! Still waiting for Hasbro to give us a good MU-scale Sandman and Vulture to go with my Spider-Man rogues gallery.

Funny you should mention that Nightcrawler, as I recently set him up along with some other MU on Figure Factory bases. I created a thread here and posted in reply to your Bamf thread above.

(PS. Don't worry if you haven't heard of a Google Magic Carpet Ride - I made that up! It's just my euphemism for a serendipitous web search. Guess I listened to too much Steppenwolf when I was younger. Image)

Some tweaks on Gambit and Rogue.

I was really happy that Hasbro put out Rogue in the Jim Lee outfit, as that was my favorite. However, the hair-do and head band do look rather dated.
As soon as I saw pictures of the Retaliation Lady Jaye figure, her head reminded me of Rogue from the show Wolverine and the X-Men, and I decided to use her head to update my Rogue. Took a while to finally get ahold of the figure, but I am quite happy with the results. I painted her hair using Testor's Model Master 'Navy Brown' (with white bangs obviously) and also decided to repaint her eyes green (kind of hard to tell).

I was pleased with my last Gambit bash, but it still really bugged my that Hasbro failed to give him his signature collar. So once I found a good piece to use, I jumped on it. I also used the neck from a Blackbolt figure to give him the black neck, and the better range of motion in his neck. It also made him slightly taller, and closer to where he should be height wise.

As always comments and critiques welcomed, and thanks for looking!
