F******* BOSS!

It looks like it jumped right off of the pages of the new 52!
Exquisite head choice..
So simple yet so PERFECT!

And i'm not a fan of the character for the most part.

Thanks, guys.

The head and forearms are actually off the DCIH Public Enemies Captain Atom.

The lower legs are from an MU Daredevil.

The rest is an MU Silver Surfer.

Glad you guys dig him.

Sweet! I love Captain Atom. And I love the classic look. Really nice clean job here.

Thanks again for all the comments, guys. Wasn't sure how Capt. Atom would go over.

Similarly curious/cautious about these next two.

First, let me say I've never liked Bane. The idea of him was great...super-intelligent criminal who uses his adverse environment and obsession with Batman to become one of his most formidable foes both physically and intellectually. And that he'd take an experimental steroid-like drug just to give himself an added edge really does make sense. What doesn't fly with me is the notion that this experimental steroid-like drug draws in extradimensional mass or some such, making him roughly the size of the Hulk and superhumanly strong enough to lift a car.

To me, taking him that far away from being just the best a HUMAN bad guy can be really insults the brilliance of the character concept.

I probably never would have made a Bane if not for the previews I've seen of The Dark Knight Rises. What they've done with the character there intrigues me and may well be truer to the ay the character started out. But I don't really care for his look. So -- just ass my Batman is an amalgam of movie and comic appearances, so is my Bane:

He's definitely big, but not hulking. And his venom, while it gives him an edge physically, is not necessarily the key to beating him (pull his hoses and he'll still have the muscles the Venom helps him maintain, but his energy/stamina may start to recede). Here's a look at the apparatus he wears to deliver his drug:

Also thought I'd include some shots of a WIP, my version of Green Arrow:

Pretty straightforward take. I need to make his bow green and brwon up some of the strap details on his gloves and boots, yet:

Here's one last shot to show the scale of Green Arrow and Bane with my armored Batman custom (I'm working on a moe traditional Bats that sports a slightly more streamlined profile):

So what do you guys think?

& U thought that my crappy GA custom was gonna give yours a run??? I luv the use of the Serpentor boots & gloves on your GA & that head sculpt WALKS all over mine bro!!! NICELY done man :) --- We must be mentally connected or somethin... I just got started on a Mandolorian "Fett" style commando that I used those Serpentor boots (grafted onto 30th Iron Grenadier lower legs - SW custom w/ Joe articulation)

Bane looks good, but Green Arrow is awesome, of course I'm biased, what with him being my favorite DC hero, all he needs is a boxing glove arrow

I like where you are going with Arrow but he needs some length visually in his torso. If you can find a longer tunic that would lower the belt on his hips I think he'd look nigh-perfect. Or if you can't lengthen the tunic then maybe bring it in tighter around his waist. As is his proportions are just a bit awkward.

Bane... while I don't particularly care for the large apparatus on his back the rest is really well done.

Thanks, guys.

Mysty, you were totally right about Arrow's proportions. I couldn't see it until you pointed it out and then it took a day of putzing around with him to figure out exactly what was wrong (tightening up the tunic helped, but didn't quite resolve it). It was his arms. They were just apey long. Tried to remedy that with this update:

And here's a reference pic of him with the guy he sort of parallels in my limited DC universe:

Also, I mentioned that I was working on a more comic-faithful Batman. Here's how that turned out:

I didn't necessarily dislike my movie/Arkham City inspired Dark Knight, but he was clearly an armored version of the character (way too bulky not to be). I tried to go more in the classic comic direction for his proportions here and nodded to the JLU toon for the color scheme:

How do you guys think these turned out?

These are customs? They look so cool that it's hard to tell the mods you made. That is skill there man. Bats looks fantastic.

For the comic-accurate Batman, I'd recommend a different head. The Nolanverse Bats mask doesn't really have a shape that matches traditional bat-masks.

He's also very dark, the bat-sigil is barely visible. Have you considered putting it in the yellow oval?

Ollie's shorter arms do work better, I like the Batman update too. It intimidates me a bit, I've decided to attempt a Batman of my own, he's my bf's favorite character and our anniversary is coming up
