Alright...continuing on my 70s action figure kick for the time being...

Action Jackson the super cool blue jumpsuit wearing hero that helped Mego become popular

A lesser known hero who had a radio show in South Africa in 60s and 70s Jet Jungle. He did get an action figure from Mego in the 70s and Zicatoys did a modern take on him in their Captain Action line a few years ago.

Along side Action Jackson and an upgraded Captain Action (I repainted him from gray to blue and did a leg swap to increase his height)

In case anyone is curious about the difference in height

The Legend of the Lone Ranger was one of my favorite movies as a kid and then he got a cartoon in the 80s as well.

Zorro's steed Tornado will have to stand in for Scout until Bossfight releases the Pinto they have shown

Does anybody else remember the Tarzan/Lone Ranger/Zorro Adventure Hour?

Zorro and Tarzan are from Bossfight Studios. I did change Tarzan's hair.

I am 100% an 80s kid. I was born at the tailend of the 70s, so I never had any of the cool figures like the 6 million dollar man or any of the other others, but as I was continuing my 80s project I came across lots of 70s figures I thought would be cool to make in modern 4 inch form too. Which is where these 70s customs came from. I of course had to go back and make the 70s GI Joe Adventure Team with Joe, Bulletman and Mike Power. Joe to me was and always will be the 80s ARAH, but it was really fun to research these guys and now to have them to mix in with the 25th Joes.

i was born in 79 so these are all kind of familiar ,but not really known to me. except the lone ranger and tanto which i instantly recognize. your action jackson is a nice figure who would also be a really good fit on a space crew. in that last pic duke looks like he saw a ghost!

That's all I can say about this latest batch. Oh man, the Adventure Hour was one of my favorite cartoons back in the day -- Tarzan has never been a big favorite of mine but Lone Ranger and Zorro are both characters I've loved since I was a wee little one. When the movie came out, Cheerios (I think) had a mail-away to become a Lone Ranger deputy, which I got to do and got a badge, a pamphlet telling LR's story, a certificate proving I was an official LR Deputy, and probably one of the coolest posters I have ever seen and I wish I still had. You just brought back so many great memories with that awesome custom.

I do have to say, I think your Action Jackson and Jet Jungle look better than the Zica versions.

I appreciate it. Always love hearing stories about childhood memories too. That's the whole reason I started the whole 80s project just to finally have all of my favorite figures from my childhood together in one scale finally.

Some more fun 70s stuff

Big Jim had a toy line, but eventually it faded away and Big Jim was reimagined as the leader of a crime fighting unit called the P.A.C.K. That's the version of Big Jim I decided to go with. I do eventually want to add some other P.A.C.K. members to the customs.

The details of your customs are what always draw me in. The fringe edging on Tonto? Amazing. I didn't realize it had been sculpted "in motion" until I saw him on not-Scout. Perfect.

Big Jim could be so many agent types from that era. Solid build.

I had missed the fringe in motion pn points out. Awesome !

Thanks. I actually thought that sculpting was the weakest part of the custom, so I really appreciate that.

Thanks. I would like to find some more cartoon accurate heads eventually but for now I am happy with how they turned out.
