Welcome here, brother.
Firstly, your work is truly outstanding. In a single post you've already managed to become one of my favorite customizers.
You know, we share an (all too uncommon) affection for clothing at this scale - and for me, your work is just about as refreshing as it is
strikingly good. Your ninjas and samurai especially are spectacular.
Secondly, I completely agree with you that perhaps the first factor regarding this endeavor is proper material, and that realistic fit is also very important. Good points, well said.
Again, this thread is just incredible. Absolutely awesome work throughout.
Thanks you very much, Headandhand. I always figured that if the 1/6 figs could have clothes, then why not the 1/18? But it really does depend greatly on the materials and applications more so, imo. While it's possible to simulate many items, it's also nearly impossible to translate everything in this scale. Real bummer, but it's something us clothing guys just have to accept in the end.
All in all, we have to continue trying new things to achieve what we want. And that can be a real pain in the butt, but it's also the thrill of the challenge. At least that's what I keep telling myself!

Have been a big fan of yours from Hisstank for years (I go by Knighthawk over there), so I'm thrilled to see you posting here. And floored at your work again, even those figures I had seen before.
awesome!
Thanks, bro. Glad to be here myself. There's a lot of good stuff going on here, that's for sure.

Welcome! It's great to have you here!
I have seen and handled these up close at the Con, and I can tell you as unbelievable as they are in pictures, they are like museum replicas in person. I was in awe from the minute they were out and was glad that our table was right next to his. They're stunning.
As impressive as the clothing is, you should see his custom period weapons! All scratch built, in scale, and beyond detailed. From arrows to swords, they are incredible.
So great to have him here.
Oh, and my fellow Conan dudes, he has a Conan that screams excellence.
You flatter me, Sir. It was a true pleasure to talk to you, and see your dios in person.
And I can't thank you enough for the gift of the "Forge". It has a special place on my shelf.
And thanks to everyone else for their comments. I sincerely appreciate the kind words, and to know that my hard work and slightly OCD issues with details pays off. Challenging myself to better my craft not only helps my work, but I would hope that it might inspire others to push themselves even further.
