This is coming along nicely. The size looks perfect. I'm interested to see what you do with the arms.

Would the arms from the kid Boba Fett figure work?

Love the raccoon. And ditto on the Star Trek arms, I was going to post the same thing.

I can defintiely see the size difference when looking at it from my work monitor vs. my phone. Can't wait to see how you transform that arm set. Maybe you could use those Star Trek hands in lieu of the Hobbit hands. Those are some "Meat Hooks" for a raccoon.

That's not a bad idea at all on the hands. I do think I can still make the arms work

Here they are after a bit of shaving. I also test painted the shoulder black to extend the top of the armor out more

Yeah. Yeah. That looks better. The shoulders look less broad.

This is exciting.

Do you think LOTR Tree Beard is too much for a Groot?

Search Groot in critiques and look for the ones Chief and Gaigaan Dnok made. One or both used Treebeard

I'm also looking at one of the larger static figures as a possible starting point also

update - mostly done. I know the arms aren't perfect, but I've found nothing better.

I think the arms are looking good... what don't you like about them?

I wonder if some of the recent Ewok arms with articulation would work.

thanks Dan - I'm ok with them, they are just a tad too big. But I think that's the trade off for having the articulation.

Pretty sure any normal 1:18 figure - even small ones like ewoks - are going to have arms which dwarf these.

Ironic that while toy companies are losing articulation customizers are finding new ways to add more. Brings a tear of joy to eye.
