Not much left (in fact I may be done building) so this may be the last update.

Installed the tailgate, tried using regular hinges but did not work like I wanted it to so I broke down and built a styrene tube hinge.

Also built the mirrors.

Finished sanding and she is ready to paint. Hopefully in a week or 2 I will have her done.

Just applied the base color. Just need to highlight and accent. I know that I am accenting it in black and red but still need to figure out exactly what I am painting what. Probably start that in a couple days after this paint has fully cured.

Is that Krylon Khaki? How many coats? I've never had any luck with that Krylon colour.

Yeah, One maybe two, I am a painters worst nightmare. I just sprayed until the can was empty. It did seem to cover pretty well though.

It was almost full. I had used a little out of it before but mostly full. Really more like one coat if you consider a single spraying a single coat. There was no break.

Don't see any runs. Stick with what works. Here I am doing silly light coats every like 15 minutes.

I can get about two or three builds out of a large can of Krylon. If you do lighter Coates the paint won't look as thick. No runs is impressive for sure.

That thing has a lot of nooks and crannies. What's impressive is you hit them all.

You should keep painting the way your doing it. The way to fill books and crannies is with lighter well directed coats. The less paint build up the less detail you lose.
