Finishing off my 70s customs with Pulsar. Another figure I was too young to have any heard of until I was researching some 60s and 70s figures. Apparently he was Mattel's answer to the 6 Million Dollar Man. He looked really fun so I decided to take a shot at making him in 4 inch scale.

Ooh - I remember Pulsar quite well from the toy catalogs and commercials. Excellent job capturing the weirdness with that clear torso!

Thanks. He was such a cool looking figure when I came across him on the internet. I ended up doing a lot of research on him and decided to make the custom. It's really too bad a lot of those 70s figures didn't have comics or cartoons to tell their story. I guess that is why the 80s seems to corner the market on nostalgia. Everything had a comic or cartoon or both to tell the stories of our favorite characters.

Oh cool! These recent customs are wicked good! Call backs to vintage, little known things are my wheelhouse! I too am an 80s kid born way after a lot of this stuff came out. So I know these guys fairly well. Pulsar is a steal! Also like that you included others like Big Jim. What's next??

Well after taking off close to 3 months from customs, I'm finally back at it. As far as what's coming, I'm going to finish the final 5 MASK characters that I have left. They are taking forever with all of the sculpting they are requiring. As far as 70s customs, if I go back to that I really want to make Big Jim's PACK. Those were some cool looking action figures.

Updated my Pinsor custom as I was never happy with the original head or paint job.

Past and Present Sectaurs

Dargon, Mantor, Zak and Spidrax 4 inch figures are all from Zicatoys, but I figured it would be cool to see them all past and present not just the customs.

Sectaurs was always one of my favorite toy lines as a kid. Can't beat vintage 80s figures.

I'll upload the WIP pictures to my photo account and post them for the newest ones. The fur on his legs, fur around his upper torso, the straps and pouches, fur on his gloves, I added some sculpt to the torso just to make him a little bigger, the sleeves with the lines and the details on the boots are all sculpt.
