If I had money, I’d buy the rights to Remco for you. This is a thread of fantastic.

The Rambo figures are so clean they look factory. Perfect.

I really appreciate that. This whole project has been a lot of fun.

When I started this project 3 years ago in late February of 2020 the first full team I finished was the Bionic 6. Only have 6 members along with F.L.U.F.F.I. they were a pretty easy group to finish. I actually never intended to make the villains but eventually did.

I say all of that to say over 3 years I've worked at getting better at customs and as this project has grown I've picked up little tricks and tips from others as well as investing in better paint and brushes and my handy magnifier headset that has come in more and more handy as I keep getting older.

I've spent the last 3 weeks redoing my Bionic 6. Complete head to toe makeovers. I'm going to give them each a separate post and explain what changes I made. Scarab is also getting a redo, but the others are staying the same for the most part maybe a touch up or two.

I'll start with the leader Bionic 1.

All new sculpt work as I was really brand new to sculpting when I first made them and had not found the technique of flattening the sculpt then cutting it so it was way too rounded looking. Added little details like his gloves, ring, collar, zipper, belt and the wristband they used to transform.

Full head to toe repaint adding all of the little 80s flare designs that I was not confident enough to tackle 3 years ago.

Mother 1

New head with a more accurate hair color and hair closer to the cartoon

All new sculpt again trying to hit all the details this time.

New head to toe paint job including those great 80s flame effects.

Karate 1

The main thing that always bothered me with Karate 1 was he was my favorite by my custom head looked nothing like the cartoon. This time he gets an all new head sculpt and I sculpted the hair and headband to look like the cartoon.

All new sculpt work again to try and get all the little details I skipped the first time.

Full head to toe repaint.

Sport 1

New head sculpt as I felt this one looked younger. I also tried to sculpt his hair better and included the bangs that hung down under the batter's helmet and better matched is hair color to a sandy blonde instead of just yellow.

New arms that actually look like he is wearing a jacket and all new sculpt work. Sport 1 was the first time I tried to sculpt clothes (his jacket) and looking back it was pretty bad. He also has sculpted socks this time as well.

All new paint job and capturing a lot of details I overlooked the first time like the black on the jacket.

Rock 1

This is the one introspect I probably missed the most details on my original custom. So many minor things I didn't include from her cartoon design.

She got a new hew and I sculpted the hair to be cartoon accurate. I remember seeing that Captain Marvel head and thinking this would be great for Rock 1 and it was at the time, but it never really looked like her.

All new sculpt work.

Head to toe repaint and she had the most that had to be included this time as I just completely left off so many of her details.

I.Q.

Much like Sport 1 one of my first attempts at sculpting clothes by doing his jacket. It was bad. I'm well aware of that now.

I could never get his head right so he gets a new head sculpt that I just fixed some to look more like IQ.

All new sculpt again to capture the details as well as sculpting his neck wrap this time.

Head to toe repaint to include all of the details.

So in addition to redoing the heroes of Bionic 6 I thought that the main antagonist Dr. Scarab needed a redo as well. I was never happy with the fact that my head I sculpted didn't really capture his jowls or his truly grotesque look (it was only the second head I had tried to sculpt at the time) and he was just too tall and not fat enough so I tried to correct all of those things as I remade him.

Scarab gets an all new base body minus the lower arms and lower legs. I did extend the gloves with sculpt to be more cartoon accurate.

New head and body sculpted and head to toe paint job.

I am blown away. How do you keep doing this? The Bionic Six reruns are simply amazing! Those skills you learned are certainly paying off! Teach meeee! My favourite is Scarab for sure. You did him justice.Second is Rock 1 and third is Bionic 1 and Karate 1. Fantastic work! How do you get your line work so neat? I struggle all the time. I've used paint but it never lines up well with a paintbrush. I don't airbrush unfortunately.

Your Bionic Six customs were among my favorites from this entire project, but you managed to not only top them, but completely blow the old ones out of the water. Great work on these: they're great-looking figures and impressively accurate adaptations of the source material. And the new Dr. Scarab is perfect.

Holy cow! I loved the original B6 you made and then you remake them and they’re even better!

This is a remake I can get behind and support

I can understand wanting to go back and "get it right," but they were great the first time around, too.

There're elements I like about each set for sure, and your commitment to see your projects through not just once but twice is impressive.
