Thanks for the kind words, fellas.

Next up is one I've been agonizing over for a while.

I wanted my version of the First Lady of Comics to be distinct from some of the other very cool interpretations I've seen on this site, but I didn't want to go too far off the beaten path of her classic look. Finding the right parts combo has been a challenge. But here's where she stands today:

I've got some detail work left to do, I think (want the red star on her headband and some earrings...maybe more detailing on the chest), but I feel like the base figure might be where I need her to be.

Here's a size comparison shot with my now-finished (thanks to drbindy's amazing chest decal) Superman:

I wanted her to be tall, but not quite Kal's height.

What do you guys think?

She looks good, and I think the scale is dead on.

I LOVE that Wonder Woman! Best custom of her in this scale I've seen. I also love the Sups, looks real cool with the logo. Batman is another fav, I like the combo of the movie and comic look, it's a perfect middle, at least to me it is. I'll have to steal that idea, 100x better than the crap mattel gave us.

I love that Wonder Woman, except her face, it looks a little like she's sad

Thanks all.

Probably the only raw part on Wonder Woman I'm not 100% happy with is the face.

But it really was the best of a bad bunch available. It never occurred to me until I was putting this together just how horrible the majority of 1:18 female heads/faces are. They're mostly either misshapen/malformed or just horribly painted.

I might be able to tweak this one's eyes to give her more warrior-princess menace, though.

Don't beat yourself up over it; that face is nice on Wonder Woman... So far as the rest of your figures go, if this is what we were getting at retail, I'd be collecting DC Superheroes right now! I love what you've done, making Flash, Green Lantern, Hawk-Man and Wonder Woman look fantastic. That being said, Bat-Man is over the top cool, and I have parts that will be used to make one similar to yours. And the prize of the bunch (at least IMHO) is Superman, the best 1/18th scale I've seen in overall execution; the figure is total win! Great work on all of these!

did I miss the parts list on Wonder woman? I have been looking for bare arms for mine for a while.

btw, she looks great, and her and supes next to each look like a dream launch of a new line to me.

That is a really good Wonder Woman. Once you do your fixes she will be great. Are the stars on her bottom decals too.

I was thinking it looked like a Slave Leia upper on a MU female lower.

Superman and Flash are the winners for me. Flash would be a definite win if you put a couple of sharper edges on the chest bolt!! (Currently looks almost like a straight line) Great work all around. Great work on Wonder Woman but here I agree face seems just a little off, but not sure why possibly a matter of altering eyebrows.

That is, indeed, a modified Slave Leia upper torso and arms on a modified Ms. Marvel lower torso and legs. Had to widen the cavity on the bottom of Leia's top (supplementing her topmost assets slightly with some hot glue in the process) and shave down the top of the Ms. Marvel bottom.

Also had to build out the lower legs with some hot glue and stray microman bits so they'd add some height and accept the SHS Elektra boots. And to make things proportionate, I ended up lengthening the Sleia arms via the bracelets.

The head is a Padme with bits of Sleia's belt for a crown and DTC Covergirl hair.

The stars are decals, as pluv observed.

I want to round out my core league with a Martian Manhunter (just waiting on some parts) before moving on to the villains, though I'm already working on Lex and the Joker with plans for a massive JLU-style Solomon Grundy on the back burner. Deathstroke and Catwoman are in the conceptual stage (looking for the right parts). Also would like to get a Darkseid done, but not even sure where to start.

Once I have some bad guys done, I start on some reserve leaguers. I've got Captain Atom parted out already and a pretty good idea of how Aquaman and agrees Arrow will come together.

This has been a really fun project for me, probably because these are my som's very favorite fictional characters and he gets to play consultant while I'm building them (he still wants a cartoon-colored Batman, so that may have to be a priority).

Thanks for all the comments throughout. They've been extremely helpful.

Wonder Woman is an awesome build. She's slender this way, yet still powerful. I've seen some WW concept art which this reminds me of, and that's a good thing.

Love the lengthening of those Leia arms via the bracelets. Having them appear stubby without the mods has turned me off from using them on more than one occassion, but the lightbulb had not gone off for me, and would not have without seeing this.

I can kind of see what people are saying about the face, but I think it's mostly got to do with the factory paint apps. She looks "flushed" almost. If you were bothered by it, I think some simple flesh tone painting would go a long way. That, and darken the eyebrows to jet black, perhaps add some blue in the irises.

Supes turned out awesome. I'm glad the decal arrived unharmed, and that it turned out so well. It's just the icing on the cake though. The figure is a perfect selection of parts, and the blue you used is probably my favorite blue boyscout coloring job I've seen yet. Awesome job.

I agree a repaint of that face and she should be good. though I am sure you are trying to avoid repainting all the rest of her flesh, so I'd say only try it if you are going to scrap the head anyway.
