I'd want not only Shooter as Shooter, but could use the other three for other early female JOEs.

You say it didnt work out real well but I like that look for Scarlett much more than her tired old leotard.

I want a Shooter figure too.

I agree- I think Scarlett would be my favorite of the bunch.

This is a fantastic project.

So far looks really good. I do agree that the crotch needs remodelled.

Whats really caught my eye tho, is that outstanding L96. Id love to have several of that rifle.

I'm really surprised at the positive response to the Scarlett repaint. I though it looked pretty hideous and assumed the idea of modifying the outfit of an original character would be looked down upon. Here is another mock-up, using the alternate Shipwreck uniform.

Forgot to add the updated prototype. I think modifying the waist piece further now would cause a lot of rework to need to be done. How much of an issue on how it looks is to you guys?

I've been posting this project all over the place and because of that I have been forgetting to explain my intentions with this project at some places. The ultimate goal is for this figure to be factory manufactured. The prototype model is being sculpted by professional toy sculptors, it is not my work.

I bring this up now because I am playing around with repaint ideas. Because of the high production costs I do not believe I could sell enough of this figure to recuperate my expenses. I would need to repaint the figure and sell more of them. Here are some ideas I have come up with. Let me know of any suggestions or if you like any of these ideas....

I think in hoping for multiple and repeat sales, other than price, the Key factor that will effect this figure is Compatibility with existing Female Joe parts.

I figure like most, I'll buy the 1st figure... But I'll want to be able to swap existing Heads onto the Body, and this head onto existing bodies.... Same with arms, and "pants"... If that compatibility isn't there...I don't think I'd be all that interested in other figures...no matter what color you paint them...

I think you're pretty close...I'd like to see the center "crotch" narrowed up a bit more...but as long as she'll be able to sit in a SkyStriker or other "narrow" vehicle...I'll be happy.
Last thing I'll say about her Crotch is I think she needs a zipper...or at least the indication of a fly... otherwise she's got a bit of a fupa going on.

I think her knees narrow too much...and it makes the blousing on her ankles look quite extreme.

How is the neck articulation? The way you have the collar sculpted, It looks like she'll only have "side to side" articulation... like an 82-83 era figure.

If you start thinking about producing alternate heads to help push sales... I think the 1st one to consider would be a Female Cobra Trooper...helmet, mask, little bit of hair sticking out the back.

Depending on your neck articulation...the 2nd head I would consider is one that looks like Cartoon jinx (from the '87 movie)... making the assumption that the head would be engineered so it could be swapped on a Vintage Jinx body...

Just a small update. I've got an alternate head to do the Joe Trooper figure.

Will you have heads available just by themselves? I would love just the heads. I know that takes away from what the project it, but still, I think it would be cool to have just the heads. I LOVE that second head.

Since both heads will be on the same tool, I should have extra heads. Also, Shooter will be the only figure that comes with the sniper rifle, so I should have extras of those to sell individually as well.

I've got some painted resin samples to show. They are hand painted so the paint application is not perfect.
