Thanks for the kind words. Just dropped a bunch of older ones in the 1st post, several of which I realized have never been submitted to the board. I will have to get on that this week.

Also, this surgery recovery thing is boring. Not much ambition other than watching movies, playing that gi joe RPG on the iPad, some Xbox, and very little customizing. So next week, I've got two lbc's.

Dart is very cool, but I would switch out the legs with ones that have the full range of posability... That isn't a critique of your work, just my preference when it comes to Joe figures (I ditch all of the lower legs that aren't double jointed and have the posable feet). The rest of the figure is definitely worthy of a "borrow"...

My special LBC week begins!
This week, I will post at least 1 LBC custom that I have either had sitting on a shelf waiting to complete, or has been completed and never posted. Some are on the fly as I am making another one and get hit with an idea for a simple swap.
I have several that have been completed and never put up over the years, because they are easy, and have been done.. sometimes to death by the customizing community.

My definition of LBC is: This custom took me about 15 minutes to complete. Some may have a paint dab here or there, some might be parts/gear swaps. Who knows?

Hope everyone enjoys.

Deep Six is perfect. Great combo - even if simple.

Also, going back through the first post, and not sure which I've seen before or not, but as I scrolled through, Kamakura really caught my eye this time.

I've been following this thread for a while now and can safely say that it is full of win. Deep Six, Duke and Spirit are my favorites, but everything else is also top notch.

Day 3 is up!
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=36191
I disqualified one, whom will ended up taking more than an hour. He will be shown at a later date.

I almost disqualified myself with Breaker too, as that backpack hit me with about 5 minutes left on my self imposed 15 minutes.
I think I clocked him in at 17 minutes, but the judges let me pass. He's a nice guy that judge. Looks alot like me.

Day 4 is ready to go! Backups to Nocturnal Fire, inspired by the con set and our own Dusty79.

I left an easter egg in one of the photos for an august custom. :shifty:

Day 4 is up!

Inspired by the Nocturnal Fire Convention Set and our own Dusty79!

Night Force!
Crazylegs is a Tomahawk figure, Sandstorm head, Retaliation Airborne webgear, and 25th Airborne helmet. The only paint used was flat black to cover up the webgear and helmet, and insignia red and some grey to add highlights.
Snake Eyes is a Resolute head, with a Roc all black body. I think that body came in a 4 pack, I can't remember. He has the same colors as Crazylegs, highlighting diferent parts of the mold.

Enjoy!

Tommorow will be my last day of LBC!

That Crazylegs is better than what Hasbro put out!

And that NF Snake-Eyes is glorious! Amazing how one highlight color that isn't standard to Snake-Eyes makes such a world of difference.

Lots of terrific stuff in this thread. As great as your full customs are, I'm especially impressed with the LBCs. I love it when a simple, clever part swaps or dabs of paint make a new, great figure. I really like Deep Six, Wide Scope, and Kamakura. For the older ones, they're all great, but I'm especially taken with Duke, Dolan, Spirit, Blizzard, and Dart.

One critique would be that for some of the ones where you use a Rock head, I just can't help but see The Rock when looking at them, but that's my only issue with the whole thread.

Edit - Forgot to mention I like your update of my Airborne 2 recipe. I painted the hair on mine a brighter yellow but I should have left it alone like you did. Dig your codename for him too.

The last day is up!

Cobra Commander:
Retaliation Cobra Commander with Hit N Run harness.
A little flat black, some, red, and some brass paint.
I had been looking for ways to do this figure for awhile.
This guy came together very easily, and I am happy with the results.
This guy took the entire 15 minutes, that harness was a pain to paint.

Sgt. Slaughter
Benchpress body with matching forearms
Roc Heavy Duty vest
BnB Sgt. Slaughter head
Dry transfer decal
I had Sarge here done for a couple of years now, following the recipe so many have used with the BnB head. I tossed on a Roc Heavy Duty vest, and for this project used a dry transfer decal to make him stand out amongst the crowd of similar ones. I used a little flat black on the shirt and kneepads. Total time was 6 minutes.

Thanks everybody for looking, and commenting and critiquing.

I will be back posting more customs around August 1st. I was originally going to have a Sky Creeper to show, but he has been shelved for another project I have planned for September.
