I'll wait to post bios for when I have better pics of each - if anyone wants to know how they fit into the verse I'm working on.

Some of these still need some work, and I am touching them up at least until each gets their own final post.

Buxom? Yes. But we're ok with that... Just need to sand down and touch up some of the scultping I did, and touch up the eye paint.

BDA (Big Dumb Animal); I know he looks like Taurus, but that wasn't the inspiration here:

I enjoyed making the tats and the vest art with water slide decals. He looks a bit sun burnt too, which was at least partially by design. My first take he was pasty, but then I thought a red head guy like that is gonna burn pretty easy dressed like that. :-)

I borrowed but modified the artwork on the back of this bomber's jacket from the guy who does the steampunk and era based ML figs. It's just for my own use, and beat having to start from scratch. If I have the time later, I'll re-design the art with something original, but I kind of wanted to see how it would work before spending the time.

posted elsewhere, but I'm still fine-tuning him. Will post a final when I re-sculpt a solid beret for him.

Still needs some work, as I want to make the General Hawk head distinct here. I didn't care for Hasbro's first attempt at Steeler, so here's mine. I wanted a broad shoulders type, so I think he looks more brawny like a Tanker should. It's not 100% faithful to the original (like the gloves), but I wanted the uniform a touch grittier, but still with some flare. Also, having a working shoulder holster was always a dream of mine when I was little - and this was my favorite figure back then.

Roadblock:

Nothing original here, just wanted a meaner looking Roadblock (though JFAK's RB would eat him for breakfast, no doubt), and I fancied him up a bit to be a new recruit for the unit I've been working on.

Not giving away anything on this guy just yet, until the full deal is done.

:-D Funny, but that kind of fits the character I'm working on. A discharged Army pilot working as a privateer of sorts for my main character. He goes by Deuce because he never really tried hard enough to be the Ace. Not sure I'll be working Scooby snacks into any dios, but he's definitely a laid back dude.

I really like the look of Deuce. Good integration of parts. Who is the head from?

Hey thanks. The head is a Flint head with the hat carved down to a hairline, then the details sculpted on. Comic pack Shippy Torso - can't see it very well in the pic, but I love the way the paint turned out on that one.

With the Flint figures still going for a ton, it may not have been a wise choice for the head, but I had an extra at the time, and I do like the way he turned out.

neat bunch of customs. I like deuce the most too but there is alot of great potiental and good work on all of these. The only thing I don't really care for is the star wars part on RB.
Good stuff dennis...

Thanks for the comments guys.

Millsy...hmmm...perhaps Private Parker has a few secrets, yes. :shifty: And all these figures work into my EXCAL verse. The few Joes I make customs or mods to are pretty much those that are still around after Joe disbands.

Tim...thanks man. I know the Roadblock accessories aren't the norm. Was going for an ever-so slightly futuristic look, basically something to make RB fit more into the world I'm creating, kind of an armor look and such, so he's not just obviously a Joe. I agree it's not a great look though. If it helps, you can't see in the pic that he's got a Mac-10 strapped to his thigh, so the ammo pouches on the SW piece at least have a purpose. But I will think about whether to keep or not - appreciate your critique. That's why I posted some of these this way before I had them finalized.

I'll also keep working on fine-tuning my picture taking before I get anything more finalized.
