Well, since Doc Rob hasn't chimed in, Welcome to the board.

As for the custom, I gotta admit, he looks pretty good as is. But if ya want a change, member Tanstoys, did a Ripcord using the DTC Barrel Roll that looked cool.

I like the figure as is also. The only thing I'd change is the gun and get one from Marauder Inc.

I like the figure as is, has his newbie look from his early appearances in the comic.

Yeah, I'll agree with the other guys. I don't see anything wrong with Ripcord as is. Not sure what to suggest to improve.

It's good, but I can see why you just aren't satisfied.

The green camo looks a little loose and wet, and the light green doesn't quite work with the shade of tan that you used as the base color. That light green would work better with a dark green base, or use a dark brown to go with the light tan instead for a desert look. Both are great colors, but they just don't seem to be an effective camo scheme, which could be why you're dissatisfied - they're great colors, but may not be great together.

Your parts choices are great for the body, but the head doesn't quite look Ripcord, it's more like a grandslam or grunt expression. I'm not sure which way to go with the head to make it work for you, but you should try other options. Maybe scalpel with red hair?

Ditto, I like the parts mix but the colors seem off.

one of the elite force paratroopers has a young looking face with a very determined expression. He also has reddish, brown hair. That's the head I use for RC. there are two versions one with black smudgy face paint and one that's clean. So if you go with that head you'll have your choice.

I agree with Raps on the camo. The two colors look good they just don't quite work for me as a camo pattern together. The parts you chose are the same as the ones I have for my RC.

For the gear I modded a flint and Lady J pack to be one pack with a front and a back chute. Then I trimmed him out with extra gear that came from one of the modern Elite forces para troopers. So he has a helmet with removable googles. And he currently carries a Marauder John L 85, since no makes a modern FN FAL. But he'll get upgrade to an Marauder modular m-4 as soon as my order gets here.

I get that result when I use dark green or red. I've never been able to make those colors turn out better. Are you guys using another brand of paint? I have to drive an hour to get supplies or order online so I have to wait a while before I can try anything. Maybe I'll try mixing olive drab and black.

How did my avatar become a middle-aged guy with a Brawler shirt...just like everybody else?

I ordered two barrel-rolls from Joe Heaven and I'll get to work on Rip as soon as they get here. Meanwhile I was going to submit these two figures and I wanted to know what you guys thought of 'em.

Primary MOS: Infantry
Secondary MOS: Mountaineering
Infantry, Light infantry, Mountaineering, whatever you call it, it’s the same ol’game. Infantry must deploy and stand against the enemy. The Special Forces designation for what Hit&Run does best is “motivated.” He’ll be the first up the mountain, the first across the plain, and the first over the cliff.

“We’re glad he’s fast but we finally sent him back to Bragg for a course in anti-vehicle weaponry. This was after he ran five miles and climbed the steep side of a hill then uncovered a tank with nothing but his submachinegun to cover his disengagement.”
