"What can be said about Crash Course... Well the man is simply insane, that's about the only way to put it. Who else would armor themselves up and steer their vehicle right into their target's location? It doesn't matter if you're on land, sea, or in the air, Crash Course will come barreling in with explosions and gunfire. He can be described as the exact opposite of Wraith, relying on massive destruction to distract rather than any sort of stealth. Heaven help us all."

Crash Course was made from a VvV BAT face that was carefulled hollowed out, wetsuit head, Battlesuit Cobra Commander upper torso, Star Wars Ganner Krieg arms, and Copperhead waist/legs. A Halo 3 ODST armor section was used for his belt and the bandolier/kneepads came from a 3 3/4" Batman Dark Knight figure.

"Rocksteady's arms are the first thing that instantly draws attention. However they're not the most dangerous thing about him, his temper is. Once a decorated Marine, Rocksteady lost the use of his arms on a mission where a command vehicle had overturned on a fellow soldier. Using all of his strength to lift it up just enough so that the soldier could free himself his muscles and tendons were torn beyond repair. Afterwards Rocksteady was approached by ARBCO agents who offered him a new lease on life, so long as he played by their rules. Now this hot-headed Merc uses his new limbs to aid whoever pays the most, usually ARBCO!"

Rocksteady was made from a Wild Bill head, Shipwreck body, BAT arms, Indiana Jones Mutt jacket, Beach Head thighs, and Cobra Viper legs.

Parts choice mashes well together on both figures, mixed with smooth execution. Great work!

both look great, nicee parts combos smooth paint.

i really like the new characters, that's something hasbro is missing the boat on lately.

critiques,
Crashcourse, there is something off about the upper lower torso joint on him, not certain what, i think it's that bit of armor that just seems to randomly end for no reason.
other then that he's great, nice color combo red black and silvers always looks good, and great use of an under rated head. (the bat one) makes for an excellent gas mask/night vision set up.

any pics from the side?

Rocksteady is great I only have two crits.
The head, hasbro made it tiny, it looks better on your custom, but still seems a bit small.
The other is just an odd random thought, whenever I hear Rocksteady, I think, "where's bebop?" not really any sort of critique, just a random thought.

Wow! Really an awesome job. Both figures rock all around. No crits here!

I would buy both!

both are very cool concepts, and both are executed flawlessly. Crash Course especially hits the mark for me. Checked out the link, and I love the maskless look too.

great job, but I'm not surprised by that at all!

Thanks guys!

Ahhh, I see what you mean danielb, there's no border ridge for the armor there. I'll have to take a group-shot later for a side view too.

Both look phenominal!I think that Rocksteady is my favorite though as Danielb mentioned I also was a little disapointed when that did'nt refer to a Joe scale Turtle smasher. No critiques just wanted to comment on the excellent work and hope to see more work from you soon.

Crash Course is very well executed. Everything is top notch. The mask is especially cool looking. Wouldn't change a thing.

Rocksteady is a great use of parts. The only thing about him I'm not crazy about is the head. Not just the size but with the same hair color he still looks too much like Wild Bill to me.

If you ever want to redo the Rocksteady custom, Commissioner Gordon from the DC 3.75" line has a great Wild Bill stand-in head that's a bit bigger. Great job on both, though. I love any use of that BAT head.

Crash Course looks cool, it's hard to tell if he is a joe or a cobra. but i guess thats the point of them being mercenaries.

They are both fantastic. I really get a merc feeling from them. Crash Course has some cool details and is probably my favourite. I don't like the guns you have given them, they actually seem too "cheap" for customs of this standard.

Many big praises on these customs, brother. They are both just outstanding. The creativity here is truly inspirational.

I must agree with Soulgem however, in that the particular excellence of these figures does somehow seem to warrant better weapons. Perhaps if you painted the guns they would blend better? Still, as is, they are both belles of the ball, mon frere.

Again, outstanding, refreshingly original, clean custom work all the way around.

Agreed on all counts. I loved the look of Crash Course from the off, but seeing that the mask lifts just makes this one of the alltime great customs.

Outstanding.

Not really a critique, but after reading the bio, I just feel a bigger calibre weapon would be more suitable, or least something like a SAW. I just get the feeling this is someone who gets heavily tooled up for a battle, with more weapons than others would normally carry. I could totally see this guy carrying a SCAR-H.

I really have nothing to add to these guys except for a great job. I really like the characters and enjoy where you went with the customs. The paint and parts are spot on.
