This is one of my first customs, but I realized that the version available in the gallery is significantly different than this one.

I made the original Col. Brekhov custom for my collection and submitted it at JoeCustoms in September of 2002. Col Brekhov was the first Oktober Guard custom figure that I made and the first of my modern customs. Col. Brekhov was designed to capture the look of the typical Soviet officer and to capture the look that he had on the back of Marvel G.I. JOE Yearbook # 2, the best persona of him in my opinion. Since that time I have updated his AK and given him new arms.
Be sure to swing by Stormavik's Red Bunker for more pics and details on this custom.

Great custom, I really like the paint job on him.

My only critique is about the thighs - I think plain thighs would have worked better than these thighs with pouches/pockets. But that's just my vision of a Russian uniform.

Awesome custom though. It was definitely worth an updated post!

Very nice.

I always look for the sailor undershirt on Russian characters, but I guess that worms torso won't allow it. Oh well, I know you have more October Guard coming.

Wow, this came out awesome. Some very clever parts use here (I LOVE the Leatherneck arms so, so very much) And your paint is fabulous. Well done!
