There was no way I was gonna buy those abominations Hasbro call Punishers. The skulls are sculpted on. Camo Punny has a Tri-Gate head.
These are on the based on the PS2 game.

what do you mean 'the skulls were sculpted on?' -- why not just paint?

I think the thin layer of brilliant white sculpting material makes the bas relief skulls pop better than paint and are way more durable.

Also, it helps to give the feeling of armour rather than just a shirt. ;-)

i would have never thought of that -- are you using the white tube stuff that's used for like, airplane models?

//can't remember the name at the moment... but it comes in white or green...

That jungl-y one is awesome, though that gun looks too big. I'd probably go with something more in scale, or compact. Awesome job with the logos on these though.

Like JM I woulda never thought to actually sculpt the skulls on. Great job there! It does make them pop. The camo guy's face is excellent!

The shadowing on the regular face seems a bit thick. Maybe give it a wash of flesh to tone it down.

Other wise good, hands down better then hasbros

I agree. The mouth lines around the nose are especially dark. It looks as though his eye liner is running. I think the sculpted skulls do make the figures look more interesting then paint would have.

Well, the head didn't have much detail on it so I had to force a shadow on there. I think he looks more Punny-like with the forced wrinkles. I do all most of heads with the same technique, and I really prefer them that way.
Maybe to some it doesn't look good, but bear in mind the actual size of the head and not the size of the pic you are looking at. It's not so apparent in real life. ;-)

Well the size of the pic is almost to size of the actual figure and I still say it's a bit too dark of lines.

Don't take crits too harsh.

The pics on my screen look like 1:6 scale. ;-)

I welcome and appreciate any crits; everyone has different opinions. I not knocking anyone elses or saying they are wrong - just differing opinions is all. I like deep, moody shadowing, some don't.

No biggie, fellas. :-)

LOL, is that the equivalent of "I don't mean to be a jerk, but. . "

LOL

I like the skulls, sculpted makes sense, as I recall, the punny has all his armor under the skull and the large skulls make a good target, you know, as opposed to just shooting him in the face( a la blankman).
