Hey, does anyone know where I can find some good building backdrops for a small dio? The ones on the Wiki aren't QUITE what I'm looking for.

What are you looking for specifically? Maybe I can whip up something in that manner.

Something like this kind of backdrop?:

Brick or stone pattern background with windows, doors, sidewalk, etc? Three dimensional but without all the bulk? Like a facade?

Yeah, that's right! I'm looking for something along the lines of a facade, with 3D sidewalks and stuff. Sorta like the background Hawk used in his dio-stories.

I'm mostly looking for something I can download and make myself, though. I'm trying to do this on a budget.

Yep, I replied, hence the photo.

He's looking to build his own, and wants the printable variety I have seen many here use. I sure someone will point him in that direction.

Dune, I remember when wrote back and forth about buildings. I was far into some pretty serious commissions back then, and have a few going now. But I did take your suggestion and decided that a few functional "facades" of contemporary street scenes would be a neat way to suspend disbelief for those with limited space. Got a few things lined up for the website, after the commissions, after the birthdays, after tranq'ing the wolf at the door, and after the first chapters of my own diostory which I have to nibble at inbetween all of this.

Thanks for liking the pic, that was one from the later scenes I had to reshoot because John loaned me his assemblage of rockage zombage, and they SCREAM to be used.

Mayang, and CG Textures have a nice selection of free photo sourced textures that can be used in creating sets, backdrops, and facades for dios. Both enforce daily bandwidth limits, to themselves from going broke.

If you don't mind spending a little bit of money, this program should let you make some great dio sets. One of these days, I really want to get that, myself. If I can ever stop spending money at Marauder's.

If it ain't broke, take it apart and lose some of the pieces. Then, it'll be a custom.

Glad to hear, Cap. I always hope to be able to see your work posted here on JC because it's always quality.
