I've been working on this for a while but couldn't find a head I liked...until I came across Rise of Cobra Shipwreck, that is.

For some reason, the movie figure's noggin feels like the most perfect version we've seen.

What do you guys think? Does it complete the look?

Wow - a lot more work put into yours than in mine -- and it shows :D

Agreed that the head rocks - and as much as I loved my removable watch capped Obi Wan custom Shippy head, this one is the new default.

How does yours size up against other Joes? Are you a "Shippy should be short" guy?

Hot hot hot! This really is one of the best Shipwrecks I've seen.
Well done, Sir.

Looks great, I wasn't too fond of the ROC Shipwreck body so I hadn't taken a close look at it, but they looks excellent here.

great job to be sure. The good news is that the left over ROC shippy body can then be random short guy wearing generic armored uni. lol. The head is perfect to me because it strikes a balance between realistic detail and just the slightest bit of an animated look to him.

All the parts choices here are perfect.

Yeah, there may be good uses for that ROC Shippy body, but this version of the character isn't one of them, IMHO.

Chief, to answer your height query, because the Resolute Firefly torso I used is so long, this version of shippy actually stands just a skooch shorter than the first carded release of 25th Shippy (who's one of the taller figures in the line). I think the Build n' Brawl legs (which are what I used here) are usually a little too short, but in this combo they make the figure look a lot less lanky than he otherwise would.

I'll snap a few comparison pix later.

I like the design of the figure, but not as Shipwreck. With the longer neck long skinny arms, long torso, and skinny legs I'm not getting a Shipwreck vibe. Rather than try to fix the parts to bulk him up I think you might be better off using the body for a different sailor. I know that sounds harsh, but I like the work you put into it, just not for what you intended.

The legs are from Build n' Brawl Deuce (or Domino, can't remember which now) and the web gear is a custom-built rig made from a SpyTroops Dusty harness and BBI holster. The belt used to belong to Lady Jaye.

looks good but the skinniness of the upper body kinda clashes with the bulk of the legs besides the bnb upper parts. I do think the head is great and the colors
