Okay, so I got the RoC Cobra Commander today, and while I like the figure (completely different from other CCs, but still a cool figure), I was disappointed by the paint aps. It's a wonderfully detailed mold, but the plain molded silver really killed it for me. So I gave it some washes and dry brushings to bring out the detail. Then I did the same for the accessories. Then I decided I really hated the pink-face (made him look like Krang) so I peeled his mask off (very easy...kept it removable, too) and went a different direction. I also added a Torpedo hose (I would have added two, but I only had one on hand). Anyway, pics:

WAY better - now I have to fix mine.

I thought for sure mine was missing all kinds of hoses, etc, given the number of holes placed around the figure's torso - I feel like they designed something and then stopped short or forgot about it. Love the sickly green apps on the face - much better than burnt flesh.

Awesome! I really like the base figure, but yours makes Hasbro's look unfinished. You've got me looking forward to altering my CC now.

Haven't had a good look at the original, but this looks great. Certainly not Cobra Commander as we've known him, but a solid figure none the less.

Very nice. The green is a good ode to the cartoon.

Chief-early samples had the hoses. I have yet to see any released versions with the hoses though.

Thank you. I hadn't realized there were holes in the legs for the pegs. Did you have to heat up the head to remove the mask or did it come right off? I was trying to figure out how else to fix him and now I know what I'm doing. I replaced his coat with a movie Sabertooth trench, and personally I yhink he looks 100% better, but with your tweaks it will look even better yet.

Not so sure about Cobra Commander but it still looks like a neat figure that would make a great Cesspool. Your work helps it immensely.

nice work Darko. It is an interesting figure to be sure.

off topic a bit, but those lower legs look a lot like the lowers from the WO movie Sabretooth. They aren't sharing any parts from line to line are they?
