Mini bio: Rain is a graduate of the Ohio State University School of Medicine. Most would think that having a doctorate would mean a high paying job in a hospital, leading to a family practice with great hours in the future, and golf on Wednesdays. However, this was not Rain's reason for getting his degree. Having grown up in the shadow of an all star athlete of a brother, who then became his hometown's favorite son when he went off to fight for his country, Rain felt that he needed to make his own mark in the world, choosing to go into the medical field. However, when his brother was critically injured in a battle with Cobra Sand Scorpions* and sent back stateside, Rain's motivation changed, and he wanted to do what he could to help his country in the war on terrorism. He learned that an elite group of medically trained members of the Air Force known as Parajumpers (PJ's) had been responsible for going in and extracting his brother, which influenced Rain to join this group. After completing his training in Anchorage, Alaska, Rain determined the next move in his career path was to become a member of G.I. Joe, in order to apply his skills where he felt they were most needed, as they did not have a member of their team with this type of training at the time. When applying to the Joe Team, Rain was asked why he wanted to be a member; his reply, "The best forces in the US of A deserve the best care their country can offer. I want to provide that care, sir."
*On a side note: Doc states that while he respects Rain's dedication to the team and his willingness to enter battle zones to help injured Joes, he does not see eye-to-eye with him on his choice of using a gun as he does so (which he doesn't hesitate to use).

This is a custom I have been working on (well, on and off and on...). It is not exactly accurate to the movie, but is close enough (I really wanted to have a knife on his harness, but I melted the sheath of the one I tried to put on it, and then decided to skip it). Let me know what you think...

He looks incredible. The washes came out perfect, on this guy. His gear looks great, too. Love that backpack.

It's nice to see a medic on the Joe team who isn't a pacifist. I don't think there are too many real world battlefield medics who would hesitate to return fire to defend themselves or their squad mates.

The head is a pretty good likeness. Overall it seems a little gangly but that is the fault of the base figure and not yours. You could thicken the neck a little by adding the band for the ear bud he has in the movie. That would help. Otherwise I think this is a pretty good custom from a great movie.

Some excellent work on these. Both are very gritty and realistic.

In the future, please be sure to combine multiple customs in the same thread when posting them on the same day. Thanks.

Rain is amazing. The Dreadnok lower legs work fantastically for "good guy" parts. Never would have thought to try it.

Rain is a pretty nice character, thats what I would expect the resolute dusty to look somewhat like.

I like the Rain fig. He reminds me of a Dusty figure too. I'm nor sure how I feel about the head. On one hand I hate that head, on the other it looks good on this figure.

Te LT Waters figure is nice. The head is spot on. The body does looks pretty skinny though.
