Sup guys ya boy Tr1er back at ya with a new custom. This is my first try at ACU camo but damn it took me a few times just to get it right or at least close enough to the real thing. So on to the custom hope you guys dig it! Code name: Sandman Sandman is a USASF member that joined the Joe team after many succesful missions in Irak with Dusty and a few other joes. After their return to the US it was pointed out to Hawk by Dusty that Sandman would make a great Joe. Given his years in the USASF and praise from his commanders Sandman was asked to join the GIJOE team. Wanting to see more action and looking foward to working with Dusty ad the joes he said yes and is now a proud member. Parts: Body: Res Duke Helmet: Target Bravo team Vest with added pouches: Liftticket M4: Marauder/TR1ER goodness And a close up of the M4... |

Awesome, this is actually really close to what my Medic for Sally Squad looks like. That camo you did looks amazing. Do you have a tutorial posted anywhere how you make those awesome slings, or is that a trade secret? |

Awesome! It's about time you made a new custom. I've got to say that I had total hate for the Breaker/Crankcase head, but with your combo it works. Lovin' it! Other TR |

Thanks for the feedback guy's he was fun to make. as for the camo it really was not that hard to do I just had to do it a few time's to get it right. All I did was take a spounge the kind you get at Walmart in the art section. Pull the spounge apartjust pull it apart does not matter what way just rip them. Then put a little paint in the cap of the paint jar your use'ing now use the inside of the spounge you want that rough part not the outside. Dab the spounge in the paint, on a rag dab the paint off a bit almost like dry brushing then dab the camo on your figure. Here is where I went wrong 1st you know how you paint the light base color 1st then dark? thats what I did but the tan just got lost. So I re-painted the base color in drab then dab the tan. That way the tan stood out more then the dark green. Then kinda just go over it a few time's to your liking. There is no wrong way just have at it. also use this for blood splater it looks good. How I use the spounge for blood.. |

The custom, itself, is very well done, but I'd like to see that backstory beefed up some. You've told us how he met the Joes and worked with them, but nothing about what he actually does or what kind of a guy he is. If you look back at Hama's filecards, they always gave little anecdotal bits (the kind of stories you might tell over beers that usually start with "You know, there was this one time...") that helped us understand who a character was (even if half the time those anecdotes made you wonder about Hawk's recruiting standards and character judgment). This figure is good enough that he deserves that kind of personality. |

Very cool name, followed up by an even cooler custom. I really like that technique for the camo. The uniform, modified M-4 and the camo really let you know that he is not an Army or Marine custom, that he belongs to something else. Nice choice for the branch of the military as well. How well do those Target Bravo Team helmets fit, would they fit ARAH heads. |

I'm trying to catch up after getting back from vacation, so I'm more about the pretty pictures than I am the story at the moment, but the figure freaking rocks. It's like BBI's attention to realistic detail meets GI Joe articulation and quality. awesome x10 |

Ya know it might my man that helmet is kinda big kinda the only reason I use that Breaker head it fit him fine. so yeah man it might fit ARAH heads as well. Again thanks for the great feedback guys I do it for you the people! |

I'll have to try pick one up at Target, they were doing a refit the last time I was there so I didn't see any of the Bravo Team figures. |

Yeah, they sell pretty well around these parts but they put out a few pegs. We also had a couple pegs of those army figures made by the CORPS designers. I think they're Official Army but they're only "ok". And T.. did you mix the color for the rifle? The "dark earth" color looks pretty rad on that MJ M4. |
