Pretty Simple and straightforward. Doesn't really need to be considered RoC either, becasue the parts work pretty well for an homage to the original figure.

Head: Resolute Duke
Arms and legs: RoC Heavy Duty
Vest: Pit commando
Torso: RoC Duke

I originally was using the whole heavy duty body, but I could not get one piece of webgear over that torso, it's that damn big!! I switched to a Duke body, but it looked to scrawny. In my mind, Blackout is a big guy, bulky in a kind of Brock Lesnar type of way.
I went with the arms and legs of heavy duty on a Duke torso. Talk about out of whack proportions (looked like an early JvC figure), so I then tried on different webgear to bulk him up and decided on the Pit Commando gear. Used a silver paint marker to match up the color of the armor from the two figures. Slid a Firefly belt on him to add some bulk to the skinny waist and came up with this!

That totally works. Nice to see some New-sculpt characters getting some roc love.

It's surprising how effective the brown pouches make it not look like a ROC figure and make it work as Blackout. Good job.

I agree good to see some of the vvv line in ROC customs, he does look good with the vest to hide the smaller duke torso so he blends well

You know what makes this even better?

Knowing I could duplicate it pretty easily. I always love customs that are less "look at what I can do" and more "look at what you can do."

it's like you're providing a very clever and useful public service.

Thanks!

Those are my favorite as well! Being able to slap something together in an hour that looks great makes me feel as if I have accomplished something... compared to a bin of wip's that don't get nearly the same amount of time.

The only thing is I wish you would have used the original Black Out head. I think it would have fit this body perfently once you made it fit the neck. Plus it has so much character that the Duke head just can't match. Not that the Duke head is bad. It just doesn't say Black Out to me as much.

It's cool to see how well the Duke torso and the HD arms and legs work together. I like the brown pouches too.
