EDIT****Ok, I switched the torso over to a Gung-Ho torso and painted the inside of the coat black and painted the belt gray to break up the black. Looks more like the comic now, what ya thingk?

Before the MU figures came out, I had wanted to add Black Panther to my Joe verse and found these comic book covers on the web, which to me showed a more "military look" I wanted to add. After the MU figures came out, I put the idea on the back burner, but after having the head left over from another custom, the idea hit me again and when I got a extra ROC Cobra Commander, I knew I finally had the parts I needed.

NEW PIC:

Forgot parts break down:
MU-Black Panther Head
Pistols-25th Flint/Duke
Belt-DC Thanagarian Warrior
Feet-25th Roadblock
Everything else ROC Cobra Commander

The only thing I would suggest would be to swap out the lower legs for boots, but otherwise this is fantastic

awesome to be sure. Only thing I'd consider, partly to separate the look from the base fig further, is to color the underside of the coat black instead of the existing blue.

I'm a HUGE BP fan and yet I didn't know about his "street" look until now (guess it's been a while since I was at the comic shop.) I really dig the look and I might swipe it for myself.

I'm with Dennis - the light blue undercoat has to go. But maybe a dark midnight blue or a gray would work to give it just a tinge of color?

Awesome stuff! :D

Thank's for teh feedback guys. I was going to use ROC Snake Eyes torso, but that sucker would just not crack open to put the CC arms on, so I just kept the CC torso, which looks like a type of body armor. I'll try maybe a dark for gray for the under coat or maybe paint the whole coat dark gray, to break up some of the black, ya think?

I love BP and have always wanted to do one, actually my first was arepaint of the original Firefly. I didn't know about the street look either but I like it alot and I also agree about the inside of the coat, You have a real winner. Great job.

I think you really hit on something with the changes you made.

It's completely perfect!

Awesome figure, I'll copy that one!
Has anyone painted cobra commanders(ROC) dome yet?, I've only got one and I'm unsure if I'll really want to pick it apart right now, I usally don't pick them apart if I don't have use for all the parts...
