I'd have to say Duke is my favorite character. I really wanted a figure that would do him justice in the new format. I was pretty excited about his first release, but as the line went on and figures became better, Duke looked pretty silly with his pea sized head and slit wrists.
My original intention was to cut his forearms off and glue some fixed ones on there.. but I just decided to take the plunge and make a whole figure.

Head-Hawk single pack release
Arms-Recondo
Torso-Recondo
Legs-Recondo
Medal-green stuff
Accessories-TF Duke

The only thing I wanted to do that didn't pan out is the leg holster. No matter what formula I tried, it just looked to big and out of place. The skin tone on the head is almost a dead on match for the arms, not sure if the picture distorts it a bit or not. The belt is from a Cobra trooper with the harness straps cut off.. it was a tad loose so i glued the inside of the belt with some scraps from the harness to give it a fuller look.

I have more spare Recondo's I might try to make another if I can scrounge up a single Hawk head again.

great vintage look for Duke, no doubt about it. Nice job. For the holster, I could see there being problems given the pocket on the leg. But if the issue is simply bulk of the holster, you should look up Greyryder for one of his streamlined styrene holsters, or go the less sturdy but easy to do yourself route with some vinyl (i.e. electrical tape) that holds paint very well. This is what I usually do.

Skintone matching is a bit of a bear, but you will need to either paint or go with another head to get it with these parts.

If it doesn't bug you or it's just the flash on the camera, more power to you - but it would bug me quite a bit.

It's the camera. You cannot see it in person unless you really stared at it. I was pretty damn picky about it lol.

I gave up on matching skin tone... so long as the head and neck are reasonably close, I call it done.

I think he looks excellent. Would have loved to have the Recondo arms for a figure I'd done a few weeks before the set came out, I end up using a Leatherneck arms with attached Indy forearms.

Really impressed by the added medal.

I don't recall a 25th Recondo. Was he a multipack exclusive?

yup Macro he is part of the cobra island 7 packs.

Great Duke. He really looks spot on and I think everything about the Recondo figure is better then Hasbro's Duke.
Also I love the red I was just watching some old season one mass devise episodes and really think they add something to the figure.

Looks good. Cmara lighting does some funny things. It looks like one arm matches the face and the other arm matches the lighter colored neck. Weird. I like the belt. That worked out nicely.
