I like the concept of v2 (City Assault) Roadblock, but the 25th version we got is a bit too scrawny for me. I picked up the ROC Heavy Duty in hopes of finally putting together a "big" version of him. Girth wise he's good using this base but the vest is too small.

Any suggestions for a vest? I've been looking around. The resolute RB might even be too small too. the first release of him with the bivouac or whatever, has him sporting the same heavy duty vest, so for those who do have the real resoulte RB, I'd appreciate any shared results of trial and error with him. Any other suggestions are also appreciated. Thanks guys.

How about the vest with the cobra dog handler?
Since that bod was resolute roadblock it should fit....

Thanks I didn't even consider that one!

not to mention the oversight that the dog handler is the resolute RB figure. That vest looks real nice in gray. I'll definitely pick it up when released... to use as like a NF roadblock or something. I'm skeptic that it will actually fit the heavy duty torso though. After heating it up, maybe it'll stretch around. I tried it with the vest shown below but obviously no luck.

If you really like that vest, I'd cut a section out of each side of the vest under the arms and fill in the gap with pieces of another vest. Maybe the underarm bits of the movie HD vest? It will give it the extra room it needs to fit well, and enhance the look a bit. Breathable panels and all that.

After peeking at TR101AL Lockdown figure, it inspired me to use the Steel Brigade vest and IT WORKS!

Actually the look I'm trying to get is the AE Roadblock. But the art on the cover of isse 25 uses the ARAH v2 vest (I think) but in grey. This steel brigade vest sort of mimics the resoulte look maybe. It would be nice to have a beefed up v2 so maybe i'll go your route HypnoHustler and mod it. For now I think I'm happy with the steel brigade...dang i can't believe i forgot about it. Now I have to pick up another replacement for the Checkpoint figure.

Thanks again brothers. When I finish him up, I'll post some more pics.

Finished him up. This is my first genuine 25th sculpt custom and I must say I miss the ease of taking apart the older figures. I'd taken previous stabs at trying to get the chest apart with minimal success. Finally the boil/x-acto method worked. The seam on the neck warped or something because it when I got ready to piece him back together, it's misaligned as you can see below. Anyway enough of my moaning...

I like everything but the gap behind the head. I've had that happen. I just take some sculpting medium and fill it in. then paint it of course.

I like it, that vest has always been well sculpted but it looks worlds better painted.
