I left my Pit Commando vest at home, so I couldn't check the compatibility, which is why I left the stock vest on him. Flash's chest armor looks ok, but combined with the crotch armor it doesn't look as good on the Firefly body. So, if anyone's got their Pit Commando armored vest and a TRU Firefly or Resolute Trooper, would you mind throwing the vest on and snapping a pic?

Pretty LBC-ish. Just a Flash head on a TRU Firefly.

That totally works. Now to find a TRU FF to try it myself.

Love that base figure. I started army building him, to make into generic troops.

Like this? I had a similar idea, but the vest is way too bulky and loose as is. The shoulders look horrible in my opinion, but since the figure has shoulder armor, you might get by with cutting the shoulder plates off the vest.

You'd also have to cut the tabs off the sides of the chest armor, and glue it together to fit tighter and more snug but I think that would work.

As a simple part swap though, I think the picture speaks for itself.

Hope that helps!

I think the best bet will be to mod the Flash one. It still won't be perfect though.

The lower padding seems to be Fireflys. Notice the bottle on the right side and the knife on the back. However, on the Flash figure, the belt doesn't go all the way around, and the knife is glued on.

I think I would do something like this if I were to use the Flash one.

Remove all the areas I have marked pink. Then fill in the areas that I have marked green. Way more work than I want to attempt.

I also thought it could be possible to use a Shockwave vest and fill in all the ribbing.

The Flash body would actually make a pretty good Firefly. All you'd need to do would be to swap out the lower legs and the arms. The vest would work a little better too. The only problem would be the lack of the rear of the vest.

PS. Thanks, danofthedead and Matthew, for the mock-up pics.

I'm in Wilmington, NC for training now, so I'll have to get back to FF when I'm done.

you're better off with the default Firefly head and doing some minor sculpting work, imo.

Flash's head is too expressionless.

I think The PC's Flak Vest looks great on the Firefly body, minus the shoulder armor from the vest....but it ALSO lacks the ass protection that Flash lacks....so i'd still stick with the PC's Vest imo. You can mod it to fit more snugly to the body, plus you'd have better motion in the legs because of how soft the vest's crotch protector (for lack of a better word) is. I actually cut tiny slits between the 3 buckles (actually i cut thin rectangles, i feel like they'd hold up better over time w/o tearing like a clean slit would).

I've got a small squad of Firefly's with shoulder-less Flak Vests, i swapped out the legs though, went with the PC's legs, going to sculpt knee pads on there. The proportions do look a bit better with different legs. Trying to find some good mean mercenary faces, and I'm trying to find some good helmets...nothing Joe related, but I was kinda put off by how similar to the Resolute Firefly my supposedly "original" mercenary team was looking.

sorry to go off track there towards the end.

but I can't wait to see the finished result, going to be awesome no doubt.
