I know I don't post much, mostly because I'm blown away by the work y'all do... a lot of what I'm doing is just minor-league repainting compared. But I've been doing a lot of work lately, to finish off my 25th Joeverse, and wanted to see what people thought:

First up is my Action Foce set. Quarrel, Blades, Hunter, and Gaucho are the standard repaints. Lt. Stone is a ROC Gen Hawk body with ROC Zartan's upper left arm (the MP band helps make the transition) and a Star Wars Magnaguard arm (removed the excess thumb). He's still a WIP, needing his eyepatch and some paint work on his robo-arm.
Image

In anticipation of Argen-7 being completed between Hasbro and the Club, Claymore here will act as their official liason to the Joes.
Image

I call these guys Forca Naja, despite the absence of Relampago and Gatilho. Mortal I've shown here before, and at 2 years old he's probably in need of repainting. Ninjaku's head was painted from a Comic 5-pack Storm Shadow before the Hasbro version was announced. I also removed the backpack from his chest strap, to better approximate the original figure. Sei-Tin is pretty much done, but needs some touch-up work. Finally, DeAco uses BBQ's head and weapons because I didn't want two Snake-Eyes heads running around the same sub-team. he has the same overall look, but a more robotic feel.
Image

Finally, Overkill (a WIP, still needs a helmet, belt, and inter-changable weapons) Vypra (also utilizes ROC Flash's head for her masked look), Interrogator and Dr. Knox. At this point, I'm only Munitia and Scalpel away from having all the Cobra agents I want.
Image

Thanks for looking! Any recipe questions, ask away. Most should be pretty self-explanatory tho.

I like all of them, the vypras neck seems a little long, but that's really the only complaint.

Nice clean paint apps, and bright colors, really make these customs pop.

Yeah, I think both heads will need a little Dremel work to make them sit properly. Thanks for the feedback!

Great paint apps all around. Very crisp and smooth.

I like all the figures.

These are all really cool. Makes me want to touch up some of my old ones like De Aco and Interrogator. If these were in the store I'd buy 'em all.

What's the recipe on Claymore. Biggs head, viper chest and...?

I really like the look of that Overkill in blue and silver.

Good work all around.

And as a "heads" up, the ROC Cobra Commander head works great as Overkill. I peeled the mask back to make it removable and the sculpt has lower jaw damage and major facial scarring. And as a bonus I found that the DTC Major Bludd helmet fits perfectly to mimic the original newsculpt Overkill helmet. Or it helps pass it off as Cobra Commander a bit moreso. Whichever your choosing.

Now that's a great idea! I think I will borrow that if you don't mind. :shifty:

Ah, I had the same thing planned for the Interrogator! These look awesome!

Vypra is an interesting design, The blue looks good on that armor.

I kept it 80s-accurate. Claymore's wearing a Tele-Viper vest, and has Flint arms (the Tiger Force "fixed" version) and Dusty legs. If the skin tones match, I might swap out those over-muscular forearms with ROC Hawk's. Hell, even Sgt Stone's monkey arms would be better than those longshoreman cuts.

If you meant ROC Dr. Lewis... that's the head I used. Not as obvious in the long shot, but once I saw that the head and respirator were two separate pieces, I popped it off and fit it into a surplus Desert Major Bludd scarf... when the whole assembly snapped onto the basic Viper chest, I knew I was ready to build an Overkill. The addition of the Wraith armor was a last minute addition, and Bludd's scarf/mask warps right around the high collar... no modding necessary!

Thanks for the tip on the DTC Bludd helmet. I tried one of my extra Cobra Commander helmets from DVD Pack 5, but it was just a little snug. I'm gonna try to grab a Cobra trooper helmet from the same set, but if that doesn't work, I'll head right to the parts box and pull out that ol' Bludd.

Not at all! I'm glad I wasn't burned at the stake for heresy! :)

The Interrogator probably had the most work done. The helmet had a natural groove on both sides that allow the collar to sit under the helmet without modding, but the underside of the helmet had to be hollowed out completely for that. Then I dremeled an excess CC head down to a nub for the helmet to fit on and connect to the neck. A better customizer could make this a removable helmet job, with an unmasked head beneath. Adapting the DTC webgear to the larger Destro torso is also a challenge beyond my skills.

Food for thought, if you decide to go ahead with your own.

Thanks for the feedback and kind words, everyone! If there's any figure you'd like to see in better detail, I'll happily oblige. There were just so many, I didn't want to overcrowd the thread right off the BAT.

No I'm talking about the actual Cobra Commander figure that comes with the clear mask.

I like this one the best and will have to try these ideas out at some point.

These are all great. It's cool to see so many rare, international or otherwise overlooked figres in 25th form. Really solid work as well. the paint is exactly the style I like. Not sloppy, but not too smooth. Very nice.
