I like the detail on Shemegh. looks a lot better that the brow that hasbro gave us. the rest looks good. good use of the apps for the camo jobs. |

Basically, it involves, using salt as a mask to give the square pixel shapes. First, paint the base color (in this case olive drab). Then sprinkle some salt on the figure. Spray with the second color (dark green). Sprinkle some more salt. Spray the third color (khaki). Wipe off the salt and you're left with square patterns. I used rock salt which has larger cuboidal grains than iodized salt like Morton. In retrospect, I think I should have used the khaki as the base color instead of the last color since this one ended up looking too bright. - JM |

OK-I know how to salt mask for say rust effects on a tank model. But I never would have thought to use it for Digital Camouflage! Awe-SOME! Thank you! |
