Robin has been a long time in the making . I first attempted over a year ago but could not find the proper legs. I tried Microlady Street Fighter legs but the end result was not what I was looking for .So I scraped the idea until I could find a solution. This time around I modified a SHS Human Torch legs with my original upper body formula of Indiana Jones Mutt Williams Torso, Dc Infinite heroes Captain Marvel head, Microlady arms, and a Supergirl IH cape. Hope you enjoy please leave feedback. Also, not sure about the head I know that Marvel is planning a Bucky for there MU line at some point next year so I may replace with that.

Here's a comparison shot from what the figure looked like before minus the cape. To what it looks like now.

Honestly, I prefer the before. Now it is almost as if he should be renamed "Thunder Thighs". I think its the calves and the ball joint at the thigh actually. Makes the legs look larger.

It also looks like the microlady legs might sit a bit low where they attach at the thighs, which might make posing it look a little weird, but I can't be sure without holding it.

Plus it seems he's as tall as if not taller than Batman....which may still be the case with either set of legs used because those wrestler figs were on the stubbier side anyway.

If it were me I'd go back to the microlady legs. Looks leaner, and more proportionate (though I doubt there is much difference in the actual width of the thighs).

Either way, it looks great. Keep it up man.

Never let it be said that I don't listen to the imput gave on Critiques. Immediately after reading Drone Devil's response I went back to the drawing board grabbed my trusty Dremel tool and sanded those pesky " Thunder thighs" away. At least I hope so. As for Robin being the same height as The Caped Crusader he is. That's why I added the Teen Wonder to my title. I was going to add a few inches height to the Bat but I'm done with that version perhaps on my next go round. Also when I attempt the Tim Drake version of Robin I will be using the MU Ms. Marvel figure legs that I used for my Wonder Woman so that I can eliminate any further sanding.

Makes a huge difference. Looks great now. I'm still not a fan of the ball sockets on the hips (mainly cause they are a pain to pose), but I'm definitely liking the removal of microman parts. They were so great when they came out, but now microman parts look odd considering the great fodder we have now.

btw, I dig the head here.

yeah, the head is a fine choice, I don't see any need to replace at all. The proportions of the legs in your last revised pic look perfect to me. I'd echo the sentiment on his height - I'm in the camp that would prefer my batman to be a touch taller than Robin, at least (they don't have to be drastically different like in some comics), but that's entirely a matter of personal taste, and honestly doesn't affect the individual take on this figure being top-notch.

I really like the basic formula, but when I saw him next to Batman, my first thought was how disproportionately large Robin seemed, especially for his teen incarnation.

Not sure if the new (old?) legs address that issue, but I'd like to see him at least a half head shorter than Bruce.

Otherwise, it looks excellent.

I Like the paint work. The head is perfect for him and like the other parts besides the microman arms...just hate MM stuff

Okay now taking Spin Doctor and Dr.Bindy's advice I made Robin about a quarter inch shorter. I'm hoping this has fixed the height issues. I took two pictures one with my Classic Batman and one with the taller WIP second Batman my only concern is that I may shave the calves again as they seem fat to me. Let me know if I should leave as is or start to thin the calve area. Also took some of the length off the arms so that they weren't too long.

Yeah, it does look a little thick below the calf. I don't know my biology that well,....but I know my insults. Cankles! ;-)

All goofs aside, I think if you shaved down the area right above the ankle joint and sculpted the little wing things he's got on his shoes over the joint....that would probably seal it. Looking at the pictures though, I think you might be able to get away without shaving it down.

Just depends on how OCD you are.

Either way, you may want to bulk up Batman's lower legs. I am speaking of the current WIP. That should make the girth of Robin's ankles/calves/whatever less noticeable.

Good work! Can't wait to see more pics...pummeling some goons I hope :-)

I like it, The robin I admit the thighs were a tad big, But overall i thought the fig look great, Now with your little mods, it really went over the top and pull this figure from cool to Awesome. The head is dead on, i would not change the head.. it is perfect.

As for your Batman WIP nice, I am actually working on a new batman and I am using that torso. Great job on these man.. all of them..
