I make a lot of custom Snake Eyes figures, but this one was a bit different for me. I always liked the card art of the Valor Vs Venom Snake Eyes, but the figure looked nothing like it. I wanted a modern version so here he is!

Here is a Valor Vs Venom SE next to my custom. My knife sheath is a bit high on his back to later allow for a sword scabbard, but it’s bugging me so I’ll probably lower it anyway.

Snake Eyes Vs Storm Shadow… Valor Vs Venom style!

The head is from Broken Arrow Toys. I’ve had it sitting around for probably a year and half awaiting this project! The torso is from a 2009 5-pack Snake Eyes. I sculpted on the collar and shirt straps with kneadatite. The legs are Ninja-Ku Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes V3. The webgear is custom made from a ton of various parts, mostly a Rescue Mission Snake Eyes and Pyramid of Darkness Snake Eyes belt. The sword is from Tri-Gate Creations.

Your commitment to capturing every detail is very impressive and I'm surprised by how much I like the finished product, seeing as how I never cared for that design for Snake Eyes.

Well done.

great work, you did a good job capturing the details of the design, you should be proud, just 1 question why black instead of grey though?

I originally based it on this version:

But I no longer have one so I used a gray one to do the comparison shot.

Awesome figure. I remember that Snake Eyes. It was the awesomest figure to me when I was 10, and he probably went on more missions than any of the other Joes combined.

The only thing that sticks out to me, besides the knife placement on the back you already mentioned, is how scrawny his forearms are. I think if you beef them up with some more wrapping it would go a long way towards making him not look so gangly overall. Dam fine job otherwise.

Good work on this!

I always appreciate "concept" pieces like this with a definitive goal, especially when the lack of a Hasbro version is a head-scratcher.
