Post subject: | My Custom Character Advice |
Ok I am new to the customizing game and was wondering if any one could help me decided what parts I need to customize my first character. He is planned to be one of the lead characters in a set of short stories I am writing in the Joeverse. I was thinking mostly FireFly but not really sure. Attachment: My configuration so far! Beret: http://www.marauderinc.com/servlet/Detail?no=105 Head: ROC Anthony "Flash" Gambello Torso: HoH Firefly Arms: 25th Anniversary Viper Waist: HoH Firefly Legs: HoH Firefly MP5: Para-Viper Vest: Knee Joints: Para-Viper So any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated. |

I'm no expert compare to most of the members here, but according to your picture I'd say that the comic pack Firefly would be a good base. Maybe the ROC Flash head and a Marauder beret. His forearms look like Burnout's so you could try to use those. A little paint here and there and you'd be set. Have fun! |

Firefly works well for most of the body. Think V18 would be best though. Attachment: Fireflyv18Front.jpg [ 21.12 KiB | Viewed 862 times ] I dont like the lower arms and hands though. Think I need to find something different. The mask would work but not quite what I had in mind. The Flash head is good but the eye holes just don't look right. The torso has a reactive armor look to it. |

I'll have to post pics... |

Hall Of Heroes Firefly is the right body base for certain. For the head, either Flash as has been mentionned, or the Alley-Viper's: ![]() The short sleeves and funky gloves make 25th Anniversary Viper's forearms the perfect fit. For the kneepads, you can always use WWE Build'n'Brawl elbow pads. The vest can be Shockblast's ![]() Not certain on the beret or the gun strap, though. |

Try http://www.marauderinc.com/servlet/Detail?no=105 for the beret. You'd just have to paint it green and print a label of the crossbones. http://www.marauderinc.com/servlet/Detail?no=49 For the MP5 or if you want that gun specifically you'd have to find that BBI weapons set that Target used to have and make your own harness for it. Or find a BBI head with the Green Baret with it. |

Thank you everyone for all the suggestions. This is what I have so far. Beret: http://www.marauderinc.com/servlet/Detail?no=105 Head: ROC Anthony "Flash" Gambello Torso: HoH Firefly Arms: 25th Anniversary Viper Waist: HoH Firefly Legs: HoH Firefly MP5: Para-Viper Vest: ?? (Could do without) Knee Joints: Para-Viper I am not happy with the Flash head really and do think Shockblasts or Alley Vipers would work better but will have maybe revist that later as I cant seem to find eithers heads. Here is a quick mock up of what it will look like (Cut-and-paste style). Attachment: mock up.jpg [ 19.16 KiB | Viewed 731 times ] |

If you can wait another month (supposedly) the Cobra Rage is supposed to be coming out with a Alley-Viper http://www.theterrordrome.com/forums/vi ... 198&t=5086 there. |

My advice would be this: don't use any parts that have already shown up on a Firefly figure. From a design perspective, the only thing that significantly distinguishes your character from Firefly is the beret and rolled-up sleeves. To avoid additional design overlap, use different parts. Don't misread this as me saying your character's a Firefly knockoff. He's not, but there's only so much that can be done when the camo is comprised of greys and dark colors. I'm not clear on if your character is Firefly or not, btw. |

No Wisper is not Firefly he is actually a Joe, or he will be by the end of the main story line. The basic concept of the story is that a group of Green Berets serving in Iraq stumble onto Destro selling weapons to the insurgents. The proceeding mission gets some of the team killed and the rest get noticed by GI Joe who then invite the team to join a green shirts. Over the next few months, after some battle loss, they prove themselves as green shirts are invited as full team members. |
