My take on GI Joe HQ, almost done but good enough for pics). I got the RoC Pit for Christmas and this is the start of what I've been able to do with it. The wood was cut this last Tues from scrap. I designed it myself to fit my space--it is not a prefab desk. Overall area: Briefing area and command center Scarlett giving Briefing using HDTV Gen Hawk and Command Center Shooting Range Watchtower 1: LAW Watchtower 2: Outpost Defender Snake Eyes' Dojo (unfinished) Stockade: Basement 1: Medical bay, Barracks, Rec, Storage Basement 1: medical bay Basement 1: storage area Mid floor: Ground vehicles Ground floor: Imaginary River Cave Exit for Night Landing, Rhino, and Dragonhawk Mk II Front cannons w/ Gunnery stations An overall shot, showing more of the camo |

I can't believe that you're actually making me think of buying a Pit! Damn you! Seriously, this is wicked cool. I love how you integrated the LAW and the Outpost defender. Added bonus, it seems to take up a small area, but have the capacity to display several figures and vehicles in a very dynamic way. Great work! I do have an idea as something you could add. The space in the middle (behind where Gung-Ho is standing) could use a guard tower, a comm tower or a radar station or something to give an extra level to the base. Just an idea. OB |

Wow, if Hasbro had concentrated on making it as fun as you did, maybe they could have avoided the "Giant RV of Doom" mode. Lookin' good! |

I knew when I got it for Xmas, I had two options, either return it, or rise to the challenge and try to customize it and make the darn thing work. I only wish the wife had got bought it on sale or clearance no matter how much she says "I'm worth it". The guard tower is a great idea, I've been thinking of buying one / two of the PTE ones from Big Lots anyway. Didn't do it b/c there's no room in the front, but didn't think of the back. Will check the space and see if it'll fit. |
