The Robot Rebellion has Begun…

Half-human and half-machine, Overkill is the ambitious leader of the Cobra B.A.T. army. He has covertly been plotting to destroy Cobra Commander and to lead his legions of Battle Android Troopers to World domination. Sensing that the right moment has arrived, Overkill’s troops turn on their human masters and take over all of Cobra’s B.A.T. factories around the World. From these staging points, they strike at several nations simultaneously. Unprepared for an all-out assault by legions of robot troopers, the military forces of these nations fall quickly. Now, controlling vast industrial resources, Overkill turns his attention to destroying Cobra and G.I. Joe…

About this project:
The previous days customs (Cobra Commander, Scrap Iron and Overkill) are more or less based on figures that we have gotten from Hasbro or the GIJCC. However, this figure is completely made up. This is the second of my specialty BATs (after the SkyBATs I made a while back:
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=17186&p=189243&hilit=skybats#p189243)
that serve to bolster Overkill's forces. I figure he needs more than basic infantry to defeat Cobra and GI Joe. More will be coming soon.

Scuba BATs are specially built to work under water. Their backpacks contain propellors to drive them at high speeds through the water, as well as a short-range, low yield torpedo to sink small craft. Their arm attachment consists of a harpoon.

Thanks for looking,

OB

Excellent work! The harpoon gun hand really makes this one shine though.

I like what you've done with the spear gun attachment, but I have to say I'm not terribly impressed with the lower body.

I know that B.A.T.s tend to wear human clothes, so I shouldn't be bothered by the fact that he looks like he's wearing wet-suit bottoms and flippers. But I've seen some pretty cool scuba-style lower legs with a robotic feel on Star Wars Clone Troopers recent;y. I can't help but wonder if a set of those lower legs would better serve your custom here.

I love all things scuba, and this is no exception, I love it!

I wonder what it would look like with black arms instead of silver, portraying a rubberized coating for both anechoic and waterpoofing.
The problem with that suggestion is that it would take away for it's "BAT-ness", which I think the silver brings out.

Good job, very original and well executed

Excellent idea and that spear gun is a very cool feature.
I agree with Spin Doctor. To me it looks like a BAT upper half with a Eels lower half. I'd change the legs for something more "robot". Or, since they are robots, change the feet + flippers for two propellers or something like that.
Cool project you're doing, can't wait to see the rest!

I've been considering doing one of those with a SWCW diver clone, but your idea trumps what I had in mind. Excellent work.

Thanks for the comments guys! I agree about the legs. I have a couple of different ideas that I'm going to try. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Tomorrow, I'm hoping that there will be a double dose of Robot Rebellion. Stay tuned.
