I loved the design of the new Bucky Cap. But hated the Marvel Universe figure of him. I wasn't going to purchase it at all. But when I seen a clearance price of only $8.00 I knew I had to fix his problems. I thought that all I needed to do would be to separate the body and attach to the lower body of an Iron Fist. But the lower body was to long and needed to be shortened. So I cut apart above the waist line and reattached with Apoxie sculpt. I then gave a complete repaint making the silver star and "A" white as they should be. And cut the belt in separate pieces then super glued around the waist band. I left the gloves alone for now .But plan on replacing with a 25th Xamot as soon as I find another set.

Nice working matching everything.

BTW, is Bucky still Cap or is Steve Rogers back?

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm not sure what has been happening with Cap in the comics. I haven't picked up a comic in over two years. From what I've previewed at newsarama.com It seems that Steve is back but Bucky is continuing as Captain America, At least for awhile. They have Bucky Cap featured on there advertising for a new storyline starting in March called "The Heroic Age". I wish the price of comics would drop because I would like to collect again. But at over $4.00 a pop and the continuing crossovers .It is way to expensive. Just like every hobby out there I suppose.

You know, I was perfectly happy with my "fixed" Bucky (I just lengthened the torso so I wouldn't have to paint the flag on him.) Until now. I hate you.

Awesome all around. And now I've got a dilemma - re-do mine to match yours, or just wait for him to adopt a new costume now that Steve's back from "time-bullet limbo" and make that custom. Decisions decisions...

Also - I paid full-price for mine. Another reason to hate you :P

Excellent work!

Only critique would be the lower arms. You can still see the original glove line (something that bugs me about the MU version). Maybe swap the lower arms with the lower arms from black suit Spiderman? And then pop on he red hands?

I agree about the arm swap, though what you and Chief have done to fix the probs with Capt. Bucky has totally improved the figure.

Nice looking figure. I dig it, as I do all your superheroes.

On the question about Steve and Bucky, I'm known for my laughable lack of comics knowledge, but I did read some *speculation* that with Steve back, he'd resume Cap duties, perhaps though wearing the new uniform BuckyCap used - and Bucky *might* then slide over to take on the role of Hawkeye. That "The Heroic Age" poster is what has people talking, since the speculation is it will be the new Avengers roster also.

Ehhh. I heard that theory also but it doesn't really make that much sense.
Nobody wants to see Bucky become Hawkeye. They want Clint Barton to take up the costume again. I think Bucky will be Cap for awhile but Steve will still be active but maybe not in a full costume.
Steve wearing the Buck suit also doesn't make that much sense, unless they are purposefully trying to convince people Steve isn't back. The latest issue of New Avengers, however, has people recognize Steve on the street.

I don't want to get off topic, but for the question of Steve/Bucky Cap...

Right now, Bucky is Cap. And as far as I can tell, will be Cap. Steve Rogers, is Steve Rogers. He will wear the OG Cap costume, but doesn't wield the shield.
