After the Joes unleashed their USS Flagg carrier on Cobra last year, Destro fires back with the Cobra "Leviathan", a massive aircraft helicarrier to rule the skies! Playset comes complete with minijet, the Cobra Firebat Mk III: It also opens up to allow kids to create adventures inside the carrier... There's a medical bay, Command Center and Air Comm Tower Vehicle hangar/repair bay BAT lab Twin turbofan engines keep the carrier in the air, but note that toy does not actually fly. Here's a size comparison shot with the carrier on a carrier! Two deck guns also shoot spring-loaded missiles if desired Recipe: The Leviathan is basically the top of a RoC Pit, with two turbofans from a Sigma 6 Dragonhawk added, and a Walmart exclusive Surveillance port added for the comm tower. Star Trek consoles and labels from JoeDios helped with the rest. |

This is a great idea. Is it just the lighting or are there areas where the blue didn't coat well? |

Matthew wrote: This is a great idea. Is it just the lighting or are there areas where the blue didn't coat well? It's not the lighting, there are some areas where the spray paint didn't go over so well. You really don't notice it as much when you're playing with it. |

There's nothing more impressive than a completly original scratch built concept like that. Great Work! |

I like this idea a lot, but kind of wish you'd taken it a little further. The rear turbofan propellers are a great touch, but from a practical perspective I don't know that they'd provide the right lift while enabling any degree of maneuverability. If you put two more on the front, I think you'd not only cover that base but you'd also open up the possibility of making the body bigger/deeper -- which I really think a helicarrier would need to be. Other than that, I'd go back and give her another coat of blue. Really great concept and, I think, ripe with possibility. |

I agree with SD here. I think its looks awesome. A cheap way to add some fans to the front might be old computer power fans. Add two to the front and maybe two towards the middle that tilt to provide thrust and it'd be perfect. Looks great though..needs a trubble bubble somewhere. :p sorry couldn't resist that one. |

Thanks; I'll probably leave it alone for right now as I'm working on yet another project that needs finishing first |

Was re-watching "Captives of Cobra pt 2" and capped these images: Great to see full shots of this, vs just partial shots as in Mass Device. The Movie had another carrier, one with a Cobra's head on it, but I like this one better. |
