Ok, we'll I've tried my hand at making various Batmans over the years.

First, there was this guy (Movie Batman):

Not bad, but just not what I really wanted.

Then I used my MM Bats for quite a while as my default Bats:

But Micro-Bats was just too small & scrawny for my tastes, so I finally came up with this guy:

As you can see - scale-wise he fits in perfectly with my MM Superman and MM Robin. Plus, I wanted a decent Blue & Gray Batman with some muscles, and I think this one turned out pretty well.

Recipe is MLS Magneto body, MM Superman hands, GTG Batman head (which is just plain awesome - looks like an Alex Ross head), a Dremmeled-out Zartan waist for the utility belt, and a little Green Stuff to round it out. Cape is from a cheap spandex t-shirt (matches the blue on his costume almost perfectly.)

Here are the WIP pics:

And here is my Batcave WIP -- I'm going to add a couple of wings onto the mansion to make it fill up the shelf (probably use foamcore), and my daughter & I are going to make some papier mache rock walls for the backdrop to make it look more like a cave. We'll add in some computer consoles and stuff to the walls as well.

Anyway, thought I'd share. Cheers!

Oh, that's nice. Definitely the best of the bunch, Chief. Great job on the mods. The Batcave is a cool idea and looks like fun; can't wait to see the finished product. One thing though, Supes looks like he's a little lost standing up there by the house :)

Sups is using his X-ray vision to look into the batcave and find Batman. :shifty: :rotfl:

What I like most about this figure is the fact that you sculpted the Bat symbol.
Your customs and Dios have really steped up a couple of rungs in the past 6 months. Your giving some of the site big boys a run for their money.

Absolutely beautiful. That's got to be the best 1:18 Batman I've ever seen. Fits in very nicely with your other heroes.

First of all...you owned a spandex shirt.

second, that is a hot figure

Third, how to you get the paint to not rub off at the joints?

Thanks guys! This one was fun to make - it was in my "idea box" for several weeks, but I just started working on him yesterday.

Chaos, to answer your questions:
1) I actually bought the shirt for this project ($10 for a huge supply of Batman capes = awesome)
2) Thanks!
3) - I haven't so far. The shoulders are already jacked up. I need to sand the shoulders and hips down and re-paint. Magneto has awesome proportions, but it's a [LASER BLAST] to get paint to stick to him - especially the joints.

Thanks again for the comments fellas!

Well, I wont rip on you for the spandex

That Batman is great. I'm really thrilled with your Batcave though. That beast is gonna be huge.

I've had a Magneto-recipe Batfig in perma-WIP for what, a year since Maggy came out? It's good to see I'm not the only one that loves Maggy's great proportions. Nice work, Chief; but I hope you don't mind if I eventually do you one better.

Eventually.

Some day.

Man, I was so inspired by this that I immediately pulled my WIP Microman Batman out of the holding bin and finished him up.

It's rare that someone else's work moves me to action like that, Chief. Great stuff.

Well that's gotta be the compliment to beat all compliments, Spinny, since I normally look to your works for my inspiration.

Thanks! Can't wait to see yours!

Whoa. Cool. I need to change my Batcave to get a little better and at least get it half as good. All you need is a Batmobile to create a perfect series. But that sweet BMW will work for now. :rotfl: What was the parts list on the cave, I know the top is a Batman and Robin Cave. I want to know the rest.
