Been awhile since Ive posted anything. First off, we have some commissions. The Iron Grenadiers are commissions, as are the Project '95 figures. The rest are mine are things I did out just for fun. Anyway, here we go:

URBAN ASSAULT SKIDMARK
Skidmark is one of my favorite molds of all time, and I like looking for new ways to use him. This figure would be a driver in an urban warfare scenario.

IRON GRENADIERS TANK COMMANDER
A commissioned figure. An IG heavy vehicle operate was the background for this character.

DESERT STORM RECOIL
Did this one some time back. Came out pretty good.

http://www.joearmory.com/images/customs/DSC09978.jpg

1995 BATTLE CORP DR MINDBENDER
A very uninteresting figure to paint. Neat given its backstory, but I dont see myself doing one of these again.

http://www.joearmory.com/images/customs/DSC09976.jpg

1995 BATTLE CORPS FLINT/FOOTLOOSE
Another commission. Fun to do, but damn is that one fugly head sculpt.

http://www.joearmory.com/images/customs/DSC09974.jpg

ARAH TIGER CLAW
This one was something Ive wanted to do for awhile. I need to go back and re-do the upper legs, because I used some faded 84 SS parts, and they cracked when I screwed them back together. Dammit!

http://www.joearmory.com/images/customs/DSC09959.jpg

IRON GRENADIER SPACE PILOT
A commission. The idea behind this was an IG space pilot that wouldn't see much combat.

http://www.joearmory.com/images/customs/DSC09948.jpg
http://www.joearmory.com/images/customs/DSC09947.jpg

IRON GRENADIER SECURITY
Commission. An IG MP or security guard type of army builder.

http://www.joearmory.com/images/customs/DSC09966.jpg

WILD WEASEL
This figure makes absolutely no sense but again, was something Ive wanted to do for awhile. I think the original idea came from a gold 1984 Storm Shadow I saw on eBay awhile back. CabanaJack came over today and suggested he could be the pilot for the 2002 TRU Phail Rattler.

Cool figs!

I like the patches and insignias on each figure.

Some interesting customs there, ZG.

The only thing that bugs me is the effect the paint takes. That's not a slam on the technique or style, the paint apps themselves, or your work at all.

It's, well, my Mom used to paint those porcelain/ceramic bisque cats and things back in the day (the ones you see at craft sales) and the paint apps turned out the same way. I just reminds me of those porcelain things instead of the paint jobs I'm used to.

It just seems to 'glossy' for lack of a better word.

I do like seeing Skidmark's pants in gray and the color on Recoil's body. That gives me some ideas for some of my customs.

I think its more the lighting than anything that makes them look super glossy. In person, thier sheen is equal to a factory figure.

So thats what you chased me out of your house for? So you could finish your customs!?

I saw these today and the photos dont do them justice, they are not super glossy, and the colors are better than they appear. The logos are spot on!

I like the idea of Wild Weasel being the pilot for the TRU Rattler. I think that works. He just needs the safety orange highlights.

Recoil could really use some brown or olive for the belts and stuff instead of just black. He's wearing the desert BDU's to blend in and then he's wearing all black straps, pouches, boots, and gloves. Doesn't quite fit.

Perfect idea!

Btw, WW is my fav or the group. I'd love to see this guy in the TRU Rattler.

I like them all. The WW figure may have just pushed me to make an Eagle Force custom.

The WW is my favorite as well. I think it would look great if you painted the knee pads though - they look a little plain right now.

I really like the IG security too.

Skidmark is interesting, but I don't really like the patch/insignia.

I agree the 95 figures are a little too weird to my taste, but yours is a nice take on them.

Great to see all these ARAH customs lately.
You've been quite busy. I like all the patches and insignias. Recoil is my favorite.
None of the figures seem to have weapons, do you have pics of them with gear/weapons?

I really dig these. The Wild Weasel is really the show stopper here. I have only one critique since the gloss issue was already brought up and addressed. With all the inventory you have at Joearmory.com, why the hell would you use arms with cracked elbows on your customs (Recoil and Skidmark)? That is a major pet peeve of mine.

Included this image to show the glossiness of the customs compared to factory figures.
