The helmet is way oversized, otherwise it's okay.

What's the helmet from ?

Some Star Wars The Clone Wars figures have clear space helmets, might wanna give that a try :-/

Guess what? That is a SWCW space helmet, somewhat modified. Even with the shoulder attachment/contouring cut off, those helmets are just massive on ARAH bodies. I like the dark glassy gold, though.

I have a Chap Mei space helmet that fits better/tighter to the head, but I couldn't bring myself to paint it.

The color scheme on him is superb. The blue with the metallic blue works great against that grey. Very original parts choices that I wouldn't have thought to use. That head is especially a great choice.

I really like it as well!! Plus, it's vintage ARAH. ;-)

What did you use to paint the gold section on the helmet? It looks incredibly smooth and even!

I like it. The helmet seems a little rough around the bottom edge, but that is what you get for having a good camera :D

Great paint job, and I love the head for a Russian.

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

The glass part of the helmet is painted with an undercoat of orange, topped with metallic gold, then coated with a high-gloss finish.

The recipe:

Head: Knockdown
Chest/back: Techno-Viper (modified)
Arms: Big Ben
Waist: Deep Six v2 (modified)
Legs: Ozone?
Helmet: SWCW Obi Wan Kenobi (modified)

This is a nice original idea. I really like that head choice, it is one that I have always wanted to use for my Oktober Guard, just need to find the right character. I am not sure it will be a Cosmonaut, not a lot of those in my JoeVerse.

I really like the color scheme as well, I am having a hard time identifying all the parts, which makes it an even better custom. The helmet is awesome, the clear coat makes it look like there is depth to the glass, that in itself is amazing. It never hurts that it is ARAH.

Since I hope to be going through my fodder later to steal this idea, can you tell me what you exactly did to the collar to get like that?

The collar is an ear plug for a cell phone headset.
