Well, they both still need the appropriate 25th style gear (Flash backpack and laser, Rock 'n' Roll gun with bipod if anyone has extras) but I decided to give these a shot since I had the parts available.
The 2009 convention 25th style International figures really piqued my interest, and while I'm trying to track some down I decided other International figures would be a relatively safe bet... I wouldn't be TOO surprised if Cobra de Aço ended up getting made in 25th style, but I don't really expect him too...
So I'm going to try to fit some international characters into my collection.
Cobra de Aço, or The Steel Cobra, is going to be an early BAT-prototype for me due to the similar colors, an appropriate name, and some similar body designs (shape of the chest piece). I'm sure I'm not the first to have that idea, or the first to do a 25th style figure, but here he is. Obviously, he needs the COBRA emblem and gear, but otherwise he's done.
If anyone has a good translation for Sokerk's codename or filecard info, I'd love to hear it... but going off his rather oddly matched gear (Doc's helmet with the pill bottles and machine gun) I'm thinking he might be somewhat similar to Stretcher (at least in my world)... someone's who's job it is to get the wounded out of harm's way. The "translation" of the old figure was interesting, since it's based on Ripcord and the closest we got to him was Spc. Altitude. But I did try to stay as true to that as possible substituting Dusty's chest because it was very close to the Airborne pieces I was using... but I ended up having to paint anyway.
Hope to get those 2009 convention figures soon, and start some other 25th style International figures.
