I don't think I've posted these before. These are some sketches I did. I colored them by hand and digitally so there's two versions of each (hand colored ones are linked). I know the biggest critique is for hands and feet. I used to hide them as much as possible, but I need to learn how to do them some time. I'm currently working on a Cobra Trooper after a battle. Hopefully it will be done in a few days.

I can appreciate these.

I like the stylistic simplicity here, and the colors of the hand-done versions come off as very soft and clean-- and I do prefer those to the alternates with digital coloring.

What I am perhaps missing (and this could well be just me), are the distinctive indications that identify each character. I do realize that you are intentionally understating that here, but I just don't think that I would know who they were had you not told me.

Nevertheless, nicely done, and I really dig Covergirl.

Thank you. I gave them an anime type look. And with anime, the only way to tell characters apart are by their hair and clothing. It doesn't help though that neither one of them are wearing their trademark jackets.

I also agree that I don't like how the digital ones turned out, I only used solid colors. I'm just now learning how to shade in photoshop, so I will at some point go back and redo those ones.
