This actually just the first step towards making a an original character, that will have added details and a different head. I painted first, because I wanted to see what a blue and silver Mk VI would look like. I haven't even done anything to prevent paint rub, at this point.

well blue and silver looks great together.What do you specifically do to prevent paint rubs BTW?

Depends on what's rubbing. Sometimes I'll trim away material around the joint, sometimes I'll sand or file down the joint itself, on occasion I'll smear superglue over the paint, toughen it up against being rubbed off.
