You may have noticed a Cap's in your neighborhood, but more likely you haven't. If you live in any major city in the world, you can trust that one is there. There's music. There's booze. Usually a hot lady or four, and a bartender who knows how to take care of your every need. The atmosphere is swanky, the air smokey (local ordinances withstanding), and the clientele is very accomodating. Often it is found buried within a nice hotel, but other times you'll need to search some dark back alleys to find your way.

Cap's is a safe house for the agents of EXCAL and it's allies throughout the world - it doesn't matter which or where. Come in, sit down, relax. Or don't. Make deals. Replenish your stores and your ammo. Meet old friends. If you luck into the right establishment, you can talk to Cap himself.

There's just one condition - because of the need of discretion for the agents who come here to chill... please don't come if you haven't been invited

This was the awesome Shoebox Bar Cap made for me. I have one other dio of Cap's still waiting on my lazy ass to finish a figure for, but with this one I already had the parts I wanted, so I couldn't wait.

This came about when I showed Cap this one panel of a comic, and said I'd like something where I could give the impression of a bar. Perhaps a private bar, perhaps one open to the public. The beautiful part of this is that it could easily pass for either.

For reference, here is the comic I referred to:

And here is my homage, right down to my WIP Norman Osborne:

Considering how Cap's is an EXCAL bar (as per the first post) I thought it only made sense for one of the EXCAL celebrities to use it as a backdrop for a commercial he was asked to shoot...

His shirts never wrinkle.
He is left handed... and right handed.
The police often question him, simply because they find him interesting.
When he orders a salad, he gets the dressing right there on top of the salad, where it belongs...where there is no turning back.
The Mayans prophesized his birth.
He is a lover, not a fighter. But he’s a fighter too, so don’t get any ideas.
Chuck Norris fears him.
He once punched a magician. That’s right. You heard me.
He’d never initiate a conversation about the weather. Not even in a typhoon.
Most love songs are written about him, for him, or by him.
Signs that say ‘this is not an exit’ do not apply to him.
He never warms pegs.
He is…

The Most Interesting Man in 1/18 Scale.

I don’t drink beer often. Actually, that’s a lie, I do. But when I do, I prefer…(looks puzzlingly at pint glass) Guiness… (camera fades, as murmuring is heard ‘this is a Guiness, right?...’

Great place to have your figures hang out.

(laughing)

If I owned a bar, it would more than likely would be a fetish bar or a theme bar like a medieval tavern. Better yet, a genuine mead hall with furs and axes on the walls. Awesome homage D. ;-)

Wish I had the time to have woodcrafted you some bar stools. But all my carving and woodworking tools are packed up and out of reach. My father-in-law has a new Mason pal that lathes some amazing stuff (he is actually offering to lathe a piece of walnut wood I had into a medieval style large wax stamp) that could probably do some bar stools.
