Been spending a lot of time building up my Cobra Base.
Did the throne room last night. The throne and carpet
is entirely out of cardboard. The stairs are from a
dollar store.

Are the stairs one of those skatepark accessories? Very effective. Can't wait to see more of the base.

Yeah, the stair look like one of those skatepark accessories.
Kinda hard to say, as I found them by themselves in the toy
section at Dollar Tree last Christmas-time. They are six steps
high, and come with two handrails taped to the bottom. As I have
a second level right above where CC is sitting, I couldn't include all
six steps, so I chopped it to three and put a cardboard platform on the
top so that he could sit.

I can't wait to show the rest of the Cobra Base too... I gave a teaser
pic awhile back but have a lot more done now:

- working elevator (just figured out how to do this last night, I'm psyched)
- stockade (did this last night too)
- Cobra "mouth" entrance
- gun range / armory (WIP)
- banks of computer consoles
- missile defense
- primary mega-cannon

It's getting close to the point where I feel I can take some
worthwhile pics but I need to figure out how I want to light the lower levels
properly.
