WOW vid, you are doing some really great stuff! What city are you in, in MI? I'm over here in St. Clair Shores, just moved in, from Ferndale. We should hang out some time. I haven't seen many customizers on here from MI.

Looks pretty cool! What is the setting supposed to be, Cobra Island?

I'm on the other side of the state, Benton Harbor area.

The setting for the Cobra Base is kinda undecided... I'm kinda
particular to the desert base they had in "Revenge of Cobra".
But then again, the whole TerrorDrome thing had its merits too...
I like the shots from the Season 2 opener.

The first few shots of the throne room with the natural light coming in look so cinematic and wonderful!

Very nice job on this setup!

I sent you a PM, SM.

Here's another shot of the "interior" showing how it all fits together:

I'm curious to know what you guys think of the elevator (which was tricky to pull off)
and the Cobra Head painting, which I pretty much painted freehand.
Thanks for all the comments so far

Really digging how this is coming along.

I love any playset that's both functional and aesthetically cool (not easy to pull off) and yours has a distinctive old-school Kenner Death Star feel to it but at a scale that just floors me.

Really ambitious and really well done.

I really need to get my digcam to work!
Everyone here has inspired a lot of great ideas, & I have so much stuff to use.

really nice, you did great. I like it when you see the complete base. Elevator is a great plus as well. Top floor is my favorite though

How sturdy is the elevator? Stays put, and slides up/down well? Did you consider dowel rods. And last does it move by hand or have a crank or simalar mechanism?

OOH! I know where it is! It's in Springfield!

Looks great, 'cept for the ROC Neo Vipers. You should replace 'em with blue shirts. :cobraofficer: :balloon_cobra:

It's sturdy enough for light play. My 7 and 5-yr old kids have played and not broken it yet.
(and if it does break, it's easy to repair).

It does stay put b/c of the friction/tension between the yarn and the
holes in the elevator. It slides easily though. I move it by hand... no
need to get elaborate with crank/pulley system for now.

Maybe I can shoot a YouTube of it later to demo...
