ROC Destro + Cobra Commander - Classic Colors

Really like how Destro came out, I'd like to find a 25th style chrome head for him.

I really just did CC as a follow up, don't think the color change did much to improve him, it's a pretty awful design and would be worthless if not for those versatile suit pants for customs.

Destro does look great. For CC, I'd probably go for the darker hooded CC colors, or change up the body armor somehow.

As for a chromed Destro head, there have been plenty of customs from people here using the exclusive Destro, so there are bound to be extra ROC chromed heads floating around in some parts drawers that someone would be willing to trade.

CC's sculpt is too complex for the all-one-color paint app to work. He needs some black wash then lighter silver drybrushing to work, and the eyes definitely need to be a diff color. Don't dis-serve the fig by sticking too closely to the aim of duping the v1 paintscheme.

Destro's a win all around.

As much as I want to like the Cobra Commander, something about him is off.

The paint apps are smartly done and look great-no runs and looks applied evenly.

I think the issue is the limited palette. It's just blue, silver, with a splash of black.

Maybe if the torso had some of the texture removed/made flatter. It could then look like polished armor.

Its the blue on the helmet/mask/head. Slap some metallic blue on there or even better the blue Resolute helmet and you have a winner.

I thought I had commented on Destro earlier.

I like the two toned outfit. Paint apps are really good. Not really anything else to say.

Actually, seeing the two-tone colors, I'm tempted to envision one with tan pants, brown jacket, and a white scarf. Throw a Sgt Bazooka head on him and you've got Tom Selleck from 'High Road to China'...

CC Paintwise apps is good, the rest is kinda blah, needing to be more detailed and the head needs more paint especially in the eye department...

Destro is totally awesome, this mold does work when in the destro colors and a chromed head is what he needs to be really over the top and I think I do have one for you as part of our trade for bazooka....I'll let ya know for sure

Some really good suggestions for sprucing up the Commander a bit, I'll give it some thought and might revisit the custom soon.

If I find another super cheap Destro, I'm going to have to do a Pimp Daddy ROC Destro.

Destro is my fave as well, though CC has a ton of potential. I think I may have a Chrome Destro head. Pm me if you are interested.

Can't wait to see what you come up with for a CC update -- it looks good so far, but I agree that something's missing (don't know what, though) -- maybe some red trim?

Gave it a quick two minutes in photoshop to see what it would look like with a bit of red on it, since the regualr Cobra Commander had that big old red symbol on his chest.
