i don't think i've seen anyone do this one yet, and i now know why. it was a royal pain in the a$$ to do. it was worth it though, this figure is one of my favorite cobra troop builders ever. imho, it was one the best figures of the 92 line, hiding amongst a lot of terrible ones of that year.

there was a lot of sculpting done for this guy including tons of rubber spikes taken from a 50 cal bullet clip. they were all drilled and glued onto the figure, so they're quite sturdy. the head was hand sculpted as well.

i present, HEADHUNTER STORMTROOPER "Elite Urban Crime Guard"

I always enjoyed this figure too, and I think you did a really admirable job here. Using the bullets for spikes is a clever idea, and must have taken loads of patience on your part. The painting is quite good too.

Holy wow! So much detal... So much attention to them. Did you paint before or after the spikes went on?

thanks for the kudo's!

to answer your question lordnestor, i drilled all the holes and glued the spikes into place and then i painted them. this allowed the spikes to be inserted into the holes w/o the paint interfering in the process. i'm relieved i made it through the drilling without slipping off the figure with my impact drill, puncturing my fingers or hand.

I love this. The mask is ugly but has a lot of personality. Great job. Those spikes are pretty cool.

Wow! Awesome figure! I love the spikes and the color scheme is spot on! I can tell you put A LOT of sculpting work into this. Very nice!
