File this one under characters I was never gonna do.

I'm of the mind that the Joeverse is a bit ninja heavy, and the notion of Snakes taking on an apprentice just always struck me as wonky. But then I got my Resolute sets and inspiration struck.

By taking him in a slightly less ninja-fied direction and playing up the commando side of the equation, I think I can be okay with him.

I also think I'll play him as kind of an obsessed Snake Eyes fanboy who happens to have some talent. Snakes won't be able to stand him at first, but the kid will grow on him over time. Kind of like he has on me.

What do you guys think?

See, whay cant hasbro do this? Take a known figure and make updates that actually make sense and still keep the character instantly recognizable.

Perfect update imo man.

Thanks, guys. I'm glad this works for you. Wasn't't sure if Kamakura had a rabid "purist" fanbase or not.

;)

Works great, fits for both Kamakura and Resolute, nicely merged.

Kamakura has grown on me a little, actually since the RoC figures... I like the idea of him, Bench Press, and Helix being a new batch of Rawhides.

That's hot, and I don't even like the character

The character's definitely low on my like list, but I love the execution here! Love the more commando feel...You can see this guy's attitude and where you're going with him in your verse is perfect.

Is that how they're being portrayed in the filecards or other media (I wouldn't know 'cause I don't read anyone them), or is that something you came up with?

Either way,I think I like it.

Naw, that's just how I viewd 'em. I passed on really collecting anything RoC (just bought a ton for customizing). Helix, Brench Press, and Kamakura got kept as is since they're all new characters (at least to the 25th line) so in my mind they're the newest batch of recruits.

I like that. I do think we need a more classic look with a updated twist from hasbro released.I do think he needs his knee and shin pads but otherwise you did great. i like the fact you used the scarf thing from stalker and you used the resolute stalker green as well.

Ha. As soon as I opened my Resolute sets I started musing about what to do with them, and that ugly lil Stalker ended up being my first victim too.

It makes a really nice base for a Kamakura update. You changed enough to put a unique spin on him, but it's still easily recognizable, which I think is key. If he was in the 'toon, he probably would have looked a lot like this.

That is great re-design for the character. The throwing stars and swords indicate some sort of ninja-badassery, but without going overboard.
